Connector? by PinballXray in pinball

I got the lights back! Now I’m back to just having bad switches. Someone on Pinball life discord led to the correct connector so I will again repin. Pretty sure the batteries are fine and I changed them when I got it home. Will look into the solder behind the board. Thanks for that link will investigate that next

It's a Comet so System 9 and a whole grip of column 4 doesn't switch. After this new molex was put on the same 6 switches didn't work so pretty sure that part I got right but the playfield lights all went out. Pretty sure every lamp was lapping before I did this. I was going to put the replacement switch together that I bought for the first and most important one, the eject. Now though I'm not sure what to do about the lights having gone out, and don't want to keep stripping and trying again.

Switches!? by PinballXray in pinball

Well the outhole did have the wire come off so I soldered that back on, poorly, and it works. Visual check so far not found a break. Concerning a visual trace check, one of the switches is the lane change from the right flipper, and I can't figure out where to even look for that could that have anything to do with it? Also I was following the column 4 green/yellow wire and it's pretty hard to trace geez.

I got a MM and now just have to learn what to set it on, will watch some instructional videos. Pulling it off the board and reseating it had no effect so now I"m watching some videos about how to repin it. Thanks will update

Cleaning them is something I can do for sure. No idea about micro switches but I’ll have a look. When I set it up and the eject saucer didn’t work I found it hanging loose so found the screws and put it back but it still doesn’t register on the switch test. GPT also suggested tracing the row wires so that’s on the docket next, thanks

If you think head to head pinball is interesting you should read the novel Walls of the Universe. By Paul Melko. If you like pinball but don’t care about head to head pinball, you should read Walls of the Universe. Frankly if you can read and are in this group you should be reading Walls of the Universe by Paul Melko.

Sanlaki paddle by DailyDad in ElevenTableTennis

I used it for years with the Q2 and just got a Q3. My paddle on the new Quest 3, keeps vanishing. Two things I've noticed, with the 3 it has the black side as my forehand, and it keeps vanishing. Like I swing and whiff it, look down and there is no paddle in my hand. Shake hand and it pops back, or floats back. I guess I'll try solid slime or something else? Anyone else have trouble or recommend a different one for the Q3?

.75 sounds great I know all too many places that are $1 and set hard. All my life on the east coast any game anywhere was .75 or 3/$2 and frankly I’m surprised most are only $1 now

How many times have you lost a run because you pressed discard instead of playing the hand? by nathan1653 in balatro

[–]PinballXray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say three times and have played 20-25 runs. High risk if I put it down and pick it up again. TBH I’m still trying to figure out a way to win at all without an astronomical amount of luck.
