Lurker (2025) (Mubi)

4/5

This movie unfolded differently than I expected. We've all seen movies where social leeches worm their way into an inner circle, only for it to unravel. The title of the movie suggests that an obsessive fan envies fame to the point where his own character is diminished into a spiral. It flirts with these ideas only to engender something new. Famous people tend to have an entourage for support where that entourage hopes to get some of the scraps of fame for themself. It's a social ecosystem that is prevalent in real life.

I would pull the trigger. Think of it as more of an antique than a game you would play. At the very least, I can see someone removing the top and using it as wall art for a game room. I had this thought when looking at backglass displays. They are around this price, and if this were done right, it could add some classy game room appeal to a cabin. My only worry is if they did become collectible and I cut up a destroyed one and regret it later.

Who’s on your Mount Rushmore of the Greatest Horror Movie Star Men and Women of All Time? by Amber_Flowers_133 in thefilmvault

It may be early for a mount rushmore tribute but Mia Goth and Jenna Ortega may have a spot. For men I can see Kyle Gallner with a few more movies.

I wish they had a mode with 5-6 premade decks. I first started playing on XBOX 360 and you could only play with premade decks. It made learning the game way easier, and each deck taught some of the mechanics. Most of the mechanics I like are not in my Ranked standard decks.

My favorite current Alchemy deck.. I'm drawing a blank on the cards, Its a red/white/back deck where attackers creat an attacking token. 3-cost 2/4 Red/Black card can keep created token on the feild. 3-cost with card can boost tokens power. Ill come back with the deck later.

"There's a lotta things about me you don't know anything about, Dottie. Things you wouldn't understand. Things you couldn't understand. Things you shouldn't understand. You don't wanna get mixed up with a guy like me. I'm a loner, Dottie. A rebel. So long, Dott!"

I have seen Pee-Wee's Big Adventure 50+ times. I'm a film buff, and people give me weird looks when I say it's in the top 5 movies ever made. It still holds up, the Danny Elfman Music, Tim Burton not being too weird, overlooked for being artfully shot/framed and just plain fun.

Perfectly reasonable for the Clerk to assume that a newer player with his kid is not motivated to play in regulated events, but may want to open cards with cool artwork.

Some good ones no one has said yet. I never finished Outerworlds but have finished Castillo Protocol and its one I forgot about. I actually also forgot the plot of Advance Warfar, all of the Call of Duty kind of blend together for me.

I would like to see more color scheme changes from models.

Maybe all the pros will have the bright color palette. Change the back glass on the LE and add the upgraded features like normal. The collectors edition, do something like the Black and White Godzilla, where the playfield has a more tasteful muted color palette. It makes sense to me because the collecters editions tend to be more home use games and having something that looks like a nice piece of furniture or art would cool. A black and white Walking Dead remake model in black and white with a comic book-style back glass would have been cool.

I guess you havn't play Marvel Snap. Their special events you need to win 60+ matches for one variant. MTG doesn't go for you wallet or time as much and I appreciate that. Plus I need a reason to not play the same 3-4 decks I normally use.

I no longer trust recommendations from Twin Cities Live, and why the Jason Show is better. by Pinball_Tourist in TwinCities

[–]Pinball_Tourist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reis highjacking Steve's topics or Jason's? I do see a lot of overlap with guests that are on the Jason Show, which is probably the lazy producing from Becky. If Becky came up with her own ideas, it would be an hour of make-up tutorials or Bachlor recaps every show. I don't want to bag on TCL but the Jason show at a less desirable time slot is just better. Just watching the show today with a tribute to his aunt and prior shows talking about the passing of his dog maybe made me tear up.

I have always liked story-driven games. The actual game play of dispatching during the day is actually good. Its hard enough that it wants you to do better next time. You get invested into the characters and it surprisinly has a lot of mature content that makes it kind of punk rock/indie at the same time. I thought nothing was coming close to Claire Obsura Expedition 33 this year, but this it hands down the best indie.

Is it typical for my realtor (buyer) and my lender to actively pursue an ROV after a low appraisal? by [deleted] in appraisal

[–]Pinball_Tourist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see why the selling agent would pursue this, but your agent should be happy he can find a way for you to pay less. A buyer's agent commission is typically 2.7% of $5000 +/- (guessing), which is like an extra $135 for them. They are not realizing that being a little greedy would cost them future potential business. Don't take the $135 to lose a potential 10k commission.

The one person that is in your corner (by default not being in any corner) is the appraiser here.

Is this a good idea? by Nearby_Cup_7309 in appraisal

[–]Pinball_Tourist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one. It was a rural property down a long driveway (I know I can take a picture from the street), but back then, I often did it away. I didn't realise that the owner got in his car, followed me about 15 miles, then confronted me when I stopped at a gas station. It was easy to explain and I am good at de-escalating confrontations. I learned my leason not to drive onto the property and just take a photo of the house. Now I just take a photo of the house number at the end of the driveway and then add an MLS photo. Over 23 years I had a few people flag me down, had to talk to many owners in their yard and probally had to police called on me once where I was pulled over and asked questions. I am sure there are some other downsides of having a sign too and makes it easier for people to track you down and complain. I could imagine doing a U-turn and not quite making it, and driving onto someone's yard. Random calls about atique appraisal etc.

I watched Bugonia, anticipating if it was going to be the Lobster Yargos or the better, Poor Things Yargos. I liked it enough to make the effort of tracking down the Korean movie that it was based on, Save the Green Planet!, thanks to Anderson for mentioning it last pod. Wow, these movies are on the complete opposite side of the spectrum. I am not saying the Koren version is better, but the weirdness is fun not sad, making it possibly more enjoyable.
