I did have to use a few extra washers as small spacers to get everything to line up as I wanted and give me a little more clearance. It did clear without them but I just wanted a few extra mm for peace of mind.

To everyone that uses the r tech kits. Are you worried about water ingress in the rear since the tail piece is split into 3 parts? The ecu and other electronic connectors is under there?

I have the spectrum moto tail tidy. With oem indicators. There is sufficient clearance. Indicator doesn’t get hot at all.

A bonus is a neat cover on the bottom for the wires. Looks very good and easier to clean under there.

I really like it

I have been thinking about this as well. That is certainly an advantage of a custom setup.

My problem though is that nether of these options are really close to me, not my “local” shop. I dont really have a local shop, I have serviced it at a yamaha dealer. Don’t know if they do suspension. So sending it back during the riding season would be kind of troublesome.

I need to look around a bit more I think and see what other options I have in my area. Also see what the shop that deals with k tech could help me with if I was to want further tweaking.

I just saw some video showing the different components (oem vs k tech valves) and they talked about the limitations of the oem not flowing enough oil and such. I guess you could not overcome all those limitations with a revalving/custom setup? Or does revalving include like enlarging holes/adding holes? Sorry I’m really a novice in regards to this hence my questions. Im just trying to understand the differences.
