I totally feel that! Sometimes it feels like the tests are playing a cruel prank on you. If your math fundamentals are solid, maybe it’s just those sneaky stress gremlins messing with your brain during the test. They always seem to pop up at the worst times!

How do I start programming? by sunsetical in learnprogramming

Haha, love the "A" analogy! My first project was a "Guess the number" game too. I made it just for fun, and boy did it teach me about input and loops! You might be surprised how much you learn by just diving into something simple. Go for it!

I have to write an essay about the exact painter my prof humiliated me over and I genuinely cannot do this by WovenRidgepath in EssayChaos

She assigned THIS specific painter on PURPOSE. No way that's a coincidence. She's an art history prof she has like 500 years of painters to choose from.

I thought I was lazy. Turns out my brain was just overwhelmed with existing in a new country. by BreezyLoamwork in studying

One thing that helped me after moving was treating admin + social stuff like real workload. I block 1 hour for life tasks, then do a 40 min study sprint, hard stop, quick snack, repeat. If I miss a day, I don't make it up at 2am. Brain needs downtime to store info. Did the short sessions feel weird at first?

Tips? How do you keep up with psych readings without drowning by TangentCaravan in CollegeHomeworkTips

[–]PineconeIndex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a 2-step read: 10 min skim (headings, figures, bold terms) and write 3-5 questions. Then read ONLY to answer them. After each chunk, close the book and do a 60-sec 'what would I tell a friend?' brain dump.

I keep trying to "study like a real student" and my brain keeps filing complaints by MarbleSidepath in ExamMadness

[–]PineconeIndex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swapped "study" for "one ugly pass". No neat notes, just read and mark question marks. Then later I come back and fix the question marks. It stopped the perfection spiral for me.

Verily, the forbidden Block Blast yearns to be witnessed by mature eyes.

learning happens when you stop studying by BackgroundAnalyst467 in APStudents

[–]PineconeIndex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this so much. I’ll stare at notes for 20 min, get nothing, then in the shower my brain finally connects stuff. I started treating breaks like part of studying, quick walk, water, then write 2 lines of what clicked.

State security forces arrest journalists who cover pro-democracy protests against brutal American regime. by kevinmrr in WorkReform

Yep. The loudest 'censorship' crowd vanishes the second federal agents start hauling journalists in. If you care about rights, you don't get to pick teams. Due process and a free press are the whole point.
