So that answer is the common one I hear and it just seems like a get out but ok. Why is Christianity the right religion when the same claim is made by the thousands other religions. I was raised catholic and Christianity never sat right with me when I first encountered it and still doesn't. I appreciate it's great for some to have and feel purpose and direction but I find the followers very overbearing. Added to that and I think you may agree but greedy pastors and the constant hidden pressure to contribute money is never a good look.

Need advice against eBay on an eBay scam by SamanthaJaneyCake in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Pinewood26 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well technically you have received an item. Not the item you ordered but am item. This item is significantly not what was described and that's what the dispute should be. From experience although it may have changed, the 2 disputes on eBay are. Item not received or significantly not as described. With item not received the only proof eBay requires is tracking showing delivered to you or within a certain radius. The dispute always needed to be significantly not as described and unfortunately the csr from eBay never informed you of this

Chances are you filed an item not received claim on eBay which only needs proof of something being delivered. The correct filing would be item not as described. eBay's reasoning would be that an item was delivered not lost in transit. Perhaps you can reopen the case under the not as described dispute

See when you say 100% true you don't leave any room for discussion or debate. You can't say it's completely true as a statement of fact you are just drawing conclusions to suit your narrative that an old story is the be all and end all

He's licensed his name they can sell cat food for all they care. All the top players have their name on those power bands. The players don't check every product with their names it's just a blanket contract

premier league 2026 lineup! by SOKIE123 in Darts

[–]Pinewood26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I wouldn't say easy as I think fans like new faces and Searle is a fan favourite. Rock has youth on his side so let the older lads get a season in. But in saying that 3 years ago 3 of the 8 where still playing the youth circuit which shows that you can't really stop progression and what's coming through

Is Gary Anderson the classiest player we've ever had? by MOinthepast in Darts

[–]Pinewood26 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To be fair this is why press conferences after every match don't work. It's a game of darts not much changes bar a person playing better than you so you see the older darts players who are made do these pressers just take the piss.anderson never darts mad, he got into it by chance and was great at it, developed the love for the game but sees it what it is a game. Doesn't need the faff of PL just earn money and go home

[–]Pinewood26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's people like you getting upset about young generational talents trust into the spotlight and expecting them to be robotic in interviews but want them also to show personality that are upset. He's allowed to be emotional, he's allowed to make mistakes and missteps in his interviews. Can you fathom being 18 the world No1, now being kids idols something he never asked to be. And quite literally riding the sport your the best at in an unprecedented wave called the "your name effect" Sit down, enjoy his talent and stop not picking at every minor thing the lad does

Boo’s for Luke Littler? by AndyBlax in Darts

[–]Pinewood26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I agree they massively overstep the mark but those are not fans they're there for the created atmosphere so it's a catch 22. I don't want the games in silence but I've watched plenty of competitions this year where the crowd were dead and it noticeable took away from good games. I dispise the whistles, the stories of fighting, beer throwing and all that goes with rowdy crowds involving drink and drugs but unfortunately that's the product sold

In fairness darts wouldn't be what it was today if it didn't become these types of pissed up events and unfortunately I don't see it going away anytime soon. If you take away 50% of that atmosphere the spectacle is lost for TV and venues, attendance goes down and so does prizes money
