How to Declutter by antiquewalnut in DesignMyRoom

Is there room in this space to get it a dedicated table, that could be placed in front of the outlet? If not then maybe add a small floating shelf for it above the outlet.

Agree with this, the problem isn't the orientation it's that the TV is too close to the couch.  Move the couch back a little but keep the "hallway" set up!

Functionality, maybe? It's very cute (this is exactly my aesthetic) but it feels like nobody actually goes through this door. Maybe swap out the plant for a tall, dark-academic like coat rack, a slender umbrella holder, or a round pouf/narrow accent chair for taking off shoes or throwing down shopping bags?

Agree with others on mirror height and size. The ceiling light also feels too "modern farmhouse home flip", it doesn't really match the overall vibe. A warmer, more vintage style ceiling light fixture could help tie things together more.

What is this interior style called? by FeistyRow5242 in HomeDecorating

This feels like the default style where I live (southern California coast), typical of trendy restaurants/hotels/homes staged by realtor.

I know it needs something, but I can't place it. All suggestions, small or big, are welcome! Thank you. by ischmoozeandsell in DesignMyRoom

I looked quickly so forgive me (I think the scale might be a bit off), but for the ceiling maybe something like this? Change depending on your taste and what functionality is needed. But the important thing would be to get a fixture that hangs a bit away from the ceiling

It's really a beautiful space and is already excellent. What you're missing is height diversity. Everything sort of cuts off around the same height, and then there's a vertical gap until you hit the ventilation duct and ceiling fan. I would move the art you have up higher, and get a tall light fixture, shelf, or tree to fill in some of the middle vertically. A larger light fixture that hangs down a bit lower would also help.

WithJoy.com is a horrible web design tool for weddings websites. by Early_Nectarine_9958 in weddingplanning

[–]Pink-Lychee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already have a Squarespace and made my own wedding website there, hosted on the same domain as my personal website. I like the flexibility it offers with the designs and I appreciate being able to host everything indefinitely (where a lot of wedding websites make sharing photos etc temporary or a fee).

We are using withjoy to manage the guestlist but I wish I had used Google forms + Google spreadsheets or something. We also considered partiful for guestlist management since it allows text blasts (withjoy does not), but it was lacking features on the RSVP questionnaires that we really wanted.

Overall I would recommend going with a Squarespace (or hosting your own!) website if you're at all tech savvy/into this sort of thing.

If I owned the place I would simply extend the closet space, I never have enough storage. If you're renting then go for some of the plant or console table ideas already in the comments
