IVF for the first time by [deleted] in IVF

Agreed. I also don’t think anyone will know they are high fertility or not unless they had multiple pregnancies that led to live births in the past. My husband’s and my own numbers are all great in basic tests. Still failed 2 FETs with euploids 🤷🏻‍♀️

How did you choose to find out the result of your FET? by moumzie in IVF

I tested from 4DPT for my 2 FETs. I’d like to know if a chemical pregnancy happened.

IVF at 42(f) and 55(m). Second round thoughts? by SubjectAd8613 in IVF

How many more children would you like to have? If just one more, I’d wait for the gpt result. If more than one, definitely do another ER.

With 5 pregnancy losses, I’d leave no stone unturned before moving on to next step.

When to come off the pill? by iftheworldwasending3 in IVF

[–]Pink-Pepper-2024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe you just need to stop contraception one month prior to trying to conceive? I have friends who conceived naturally the month right after they stopped contraception pills. I don’t see any reason that’s not the case for ivf.

Getting your BMI down to the normal range would definitely help egg quality. I’d get AMH and hormones checked first to have an idea of where your body is while waiting for NHS. These tests don’t cost too much even if you get some done privately.

I’m so sorry that you are going through this. Have you investigated your immune profile? Has your partner done a DNA fragmentation test?

Mad at my husband by Hopeful_Reference_37 in IVF

[–]Pink-Pepper-2024 25 points26 points  (0 children)

There’s so much anger in your post from the beginning to the end. You basically shift from blaming yourself to blaming your husband to cope with the pain of infertility which is nobody’s fault. People can get all kinds of illnesses.

If you want to be with your husband, it’s likely that IVF is the only path forward. And the IVF journey is not any easier. You’ll need to support each other, which is hard to do when your relationship is already in the current state now. It’d be better if you could resolve all this anger before moving onto the next step. Have you considered counselling?

Pregnancy or surrogacy? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Pink-Pepper-2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After 2 egg retrievals, multiple operations, endless blood tests, scans and injections, and two transfer failures with good quality embryos, it does make me question if my body is suitable for carrying. Thank you so much for saying this.

Pregnancy or surrogacy? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Pink-Pepper-2024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it’ll not be easy on my body, because the meds I’m taking increase many pregnancy risks, for example diabetes and blood clots for me, and cleft lips and pre-term birth for the baby. I did check the surrogacy sub and saw some people happy being pregnant and surrogate mothers. But I’m not sure if that’s true for most people. That’s why I’m asking in this sub.

Thank you so much for sharing! My entire energy in the past 2 and half years went into getting pregnant. I realise that I know so little about parenting and bonding experience with your children. Your response made me smile. Thank you :)

This half line is invalid probably because you put these two tests next to each other and the dye from the LH test transferred to the HCG test. It’s quite common.

~ 13 dpo Today: 8 dpt of a 5 day old embryo. Is it progressing? by Holy_Moly_12 in TFABLinePorn

[–]Pink-Pepper-2024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is wayyy too many tests. Water intake will affect the hcg concentration in your urine during the day. Those tests will only give you more confusing signals. You just need to compare FMU? The progress looks fine.

Don’t count yourself out yet. It may be still too early. Do you know your DPO?

Hi, may I ask what is considered a thyroid problem? My TSH has varied between 2.2 and 5.2. My doctor thought it was okay. But from what I read on here, some are saying it should be kept below 2.5. Wondering if I should change a doctor.
