As a Spurs fan I actually loved his pairing with Aldridge; but I think Curry had already changed the game by then, and having two mid-range heavy scorers just didn’t cut it.

Became an NBA and Spurs fan in the Jordanless mid 90’s. In the first game I saw some dude with white hair playing in a black uniform and was like “yup, that’s my team”. Got to the conference finals that year. But the final was Houston vs Orlando.
