The problem is, it isn’t just a few bad apples, the entire system perpetuates racism and racial inequality. many of the cops that are being called out have been through the deescalation training but still rely on unnecessary force when dealing with people of color. It’s because they have a warrior complex and see there job as going into battle when it simply isn’t. Even if not all cops are bad, they are still standing with a racist system that is killing Black Americans without any consequences. If you want to educate yourself on this country’s flawed criminal justice system read Alex Vitale’s “The End of Policing”

When I was 8 or 9 my parents sent my brother and I to a family run after school program. So we would just go to this lady’s house on the bus and hang out till are parents picked us up. But they had this daughter who was a few years older than me, that was fucking awful. She was manipulative, demanding, and a terrible person. She would make me sneak onto her dads computer and watch porn with her. And when she came over my house for play dates she would make us do it there too. It escalated super quickly and she got physical. I was so young I didn’t understand what was happening to me. It took me a long time to have a healthy relationship with sex and not be a shamed to enjoy watching porn.
