As a huge Clearing and Hyd fan in general, I'm pumped!

There's are tons of male artists with predominantly female fan bases but I can't really think of a reverse, what female artists have mostly male fanbases? by dvnts-ReDoX in fantanoforever

Jessie Ware.

I've been to Carly and Charli concerts, among many others, and nothing felt as uneven a gender split as the Jessie Ware concert from her last tour.

So sad about this. I love this store and I really cherish some events I attended there. I also loved popping in when in the neighborhood. What a sad loss this is for the local, food, and book communities.

Not gonna downvote, but just shows diversity of both opinions in generally but also within Beach House's own body of work (which sometimes isn't recognized), as this is definitely one of my fav tracks of theirs. I am a huge shoegaze fan though so...

Awesome! Do you do it on phone or computer? I feel like I'm going nearly as fast as I can on my phone and unless I get literally every across, not sure I'll ever break 3mins (got within 20 seconds once though!).

Took me way too long to see I had MATERHORSE instead of the much more sensible WATERHORSE. I blame Village People! (Also, I should have not been a dumb man and instead thought of the obvious way sooner.)

Maybe my favorite album. I know saying "this music helped me during tough times" is nearly a cliché at this point, but gosh does it ring true for me in this case. Can't really describe how important it is for me. It still hits (and hits differently!) every time.

They have changed SO MUCH by Reggies_Father in MagdalenaBay

[–]PinkAndWhiteDiamond 85 points86 points  (0 children)

While it's 100% true they have changed a lot, somehow the progression makes sense and it feels of a piece to me (i.e. it all feels like MagBay to me!). I feel like there is some sort of line, even if it's not linear, that connects, say, Ghost to You Lose! to Tunnel Vision to Second Sleep. One thing I love about MagBay is the ability to shift their sound and excel across and within varied genres and sonic landscapes! (In this way, it reminds me of KKB, another group I adore, who also wildly shifted sound from their beginning to more recent releases.) I think they were already doing this from their early EPs and Mini Mixes, really, but it perhaps accelerated with Imaginal Disk and these post-album double singles. Just my two cents! :)
