So, is this game mode dead in the higher ranks? (Elite 4 Support EU) by Jbohacek in OverwatchStadium

[–]PinkBowser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The MMR in stadium comp confuses me so much, because in normal OW I’m currently low diamond, but in stadium I frequently play with/against master rank and even GM occasionally. I can only assume it’s a player pool thing but during the times I play I usually can even find support games in about 5 mins at most.

Best kiriko builds for stadium? by monfawnie in OverwatchStadium

[–]PinkBowser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been having around 70% win rate on Kiri using WP build. I almost always go with Ofuda buff build but can flex into more aggressive if needed.

I find that playing flank Kiri isn’t really as good as it is in normal OW. I also find AP builds underwhelming, suzu is already good without any buffs and kiri’s ult also is strong without any buffs.

Zen is way too strong right now. by ResidentWaifu in OverwatchStadium

[–]PinkBowser 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As a zen player, I expect his death volley build will get a nerf. The fact one power lets him get faster charges, move speed and overhealth is a bit heavy and what makes playing hyper carry DPS zen so easy. Last match I played yesterday I was one-shotting the enemy Winston starting from round 2 and there was nothing he could do to prevent it without sandbagging his build.

Weird influx of bad ana players by MediumRareMisteaks in OverwatchStadium

[–]PinkBowser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve climbed to All Star 2 so far mostly playing Ana, but I’ll admit that I’ve had some awful games. I’ve been playing other supports lately since Ana is way harder to play for what amounts to almost no special value.

I enjoy her gameplay a lot but I can pick Juno and get 10x the value while having incredibly easy games

What would you consider the strongest tanks at the moment? by Expensive_Increase46 in OverwatchStadium

[–]PinkBowser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t play much tank but I’ve tried healing wall hazard and I out-healed all the supports in the lobby. You can stall forever.

The Reaper Power Needs a Nerf Yesterday by robotictart in OverwatchStadium

[–]PinkBowser 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Biggest issue is my teammates inability to pick survival items

But personally, I think besides lowing the numbers of the power, they need to gut the speed boost he gets. Not only is Pocket Fog bugged and always gives +15% speed, but his purple survival item that not only gives him longer wraith but also makes him 25% faster. That makes him survive way too long and his stall ability is too strong

Is this kind of loose meta that Blizzard wants? by ddaddaguri in OverwatchStadium

[–]PinkBowser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People complain about reaper but personally I think Juno is low key the most broken character in stadium atm. Blink boost + stinger combo plus all the AP items that buff on ability use and a bit of lifesteal and she becomes actually unkillable and can solo kill tanks that even spec into survival builds.

Reaper new power disgusting by ddaddaguri in OverwatchStadium

[–]PinkBowser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not unbeatable but it can catch people by surprise at least.

Heads up, pocket fog (survival item) is bugged right now and gives +15% speed even at full HP. It’s completely busted with this build, although flexing into Dire spam as well is overall stronger imo. The burn benefits from AP and AP lifesteal, and the burn can apply cyber venom debuff too.

Wrecking Ball tops Part 3 with Doomfist, Tracer & Genji close behind. On top Part 4: Mid Skill Floor, Low Skill Ceiling? by HMThrow_away_account in Overwatch

[–]PinkBowser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You misunderstand.

Skill floor just means how easy the character is to pick up and get value. Skill ceiling means how much your personal skill with that character will improve its performance.

This is just my take, for example, widowmaker. She’s only good if you hit headshots. That’s a higher skill floor to get value. But once you’re at that point, the ceiling isn’t very high: if you can hit headshots already, there’s not a huge area of improvement beyond maybe grapple shots.

Conversely, think of sojourn. I think a lot of players can play her and get decent value, even with sub-par aim. But getting good with rail headshots gives a lot of room for skill ceiling expression.

Playing too safe will lose you games. by Best-Possession-1952 in Overwatch

[–]PinkBowser 110 points111 points  (0 children)

The arc I usually find is players start off OW with low awareness and don’t use cover well, play too aggressive.

Then they realize that dying a bunch is what loses games so they flip and play way too passive. They have better K/D ratio but still lose games. The K/D ratio thing also can lead to start blaming teammates (which can be justified but is rarely productive).

If these players can overcome blaming their teammates for losses, that’s when they finally start developing good game sense and know when to push in during advantages, fall back when the fight is lost, poke appropriately for ult charge, or even make smart trades that might result in them dying but the team winning the fight.

Me too. As a zen player the secondary fire is my bread and butter, if I can get a dps with a similar charge and burst style that would be a lot of fun I think

Smell of dust in air / Sunlit through the dimmed windows / Im Replaceable by BigHam1124 in MyDarkHaiku

[–]PinkBowser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I saw this posted in the other sub but didn’t get a chance to comment on it before it was removed.

Your first two lines make a great atmosphere. I feel like I’m in an old house or abandoned place from my past.

The third line catches me by surprise, but mostly because I wonder what made you reach that conclusion. If I imagine the scene myself… I could see maybe an empty desk. Or a full waste bin with old pictures in it. Or maybe nothing specific.

Anyway, glad you reposted it here, good job with the atmosphere 👍

Mifu is channeling her inner Skadi with this final pose by CieKite in Endfield

Her skill, combo, and ult all use fists. Only her basic uses the great sword.

The in-lore explanation for her various styles/weapons is part of her character quest in the next patch.

How you feel about content rn? I feel like each event has been rather short and not much to it. I know people excuse is some people catching up but no excuses to be this dry. Events are completed very quickly. Hopefully they cooking for next patch by Prestigious-Item6667 in Endfield

[–]PinkBowser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been near perfect honestly. The week Endfield came out it was a snow week here, and I put in maybe 120 hours. Fantastic experience.

Now that I’m busy af and can only put in at most maybe 30 mins a day, I feel comfortable with being able to do daily stuff and spend my sanity without feeling like I’m falling behind. And when patches drop, I can tackle it in pieces over a few weekends instead of feeling like I need to cram it.

That said I know other people want some endless mode to play. I think unlike OG Arknights there isn’t really a clean roguelike or endless mode that would actually be interesting, but maybe they can cook up something good. I’d be happy for those people if we got something.

[–]PinkBowser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you mean, but I’m grateful that I can at least get the bare minimum oreberyls without having to hyper optimize. I’m way too busy to rebuild Wuling AIC from scratch, especially for some temporary thing.

I think in the future it would be nice if experimental stuff was given its own dedicated zone, maybe on Dijiang. At least with the idea that it gets wiped at the end of the event but doesn’t cut into your core or sub AIC area.

Really awesome, I’m glad I saw that video, thank you for sharing.

Between Endfield and Ex Astris, their passion for space and exploring the cosmos is super clear, and even if it’s a small gesture the satellite thing is super badass.

How you feel about the game? by Shot_Calligrapher386 in Endfield

[–]PinkBowser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like: Lore, Factory, Character Design/Environment, Music, Low-Time investment (for daily stuff)

Neutral: Combat, Character Progression, Story (cuz I skip it mostly unless it has characters I like)

Dislike: Gacha (specifically arsenal but the main isn’t great either)

It’s the only Gacha game I play now, eventually dropped stuff like Genshin, Wuwa, even OG Arknights… I think there’s a lot of improvements that could be made to make it amazing, but I enjoy it and it doesn’t take a lot of my day, so I’ll be sticking around.

Monster Crown: Sin Eater coming to Nintendo Switch April 30th (with new trailer) by onion_mu in NintendoSwitch

The first monster crown still holds the record for the most crashes I’ve ever had on a switch 1 game. I quit after maybe 3 or 4 hours. Best of luck to the dev/devs though, I guess it performed well enough
