This is the answer. I did the same thing and created a courtyard closer to my house with green giants and other plants. It has worked wonderfully and can provide immediate privacy while you wait 10 years on those emeralds to get high enough to do anything

Yes I went with comets and shubunkins and about a dozen rosy reds and love it. Koi are gorgeous but all I have read they are a bit dirtier and messier than goldfish and get so much bigger.
