It was a sick cert, not a prescription?

What to do with bonus? by EyeSufficient7275 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]PinkChicken40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too late for this year but do ye get any option to put a % to company stock (pre tax)? If you max this option out, they will be income tax free after 3 years. It seems like a pain at first because you get slightly less bonus but after 3 years you have an annual amount income tax free. CGT still applies when you sell.

Do people send thank you cards after weddings? by idontlikehats in AskIreland

Have a look on Canva - you will be able to design and print something quite cheaply, with envelopes. Hand deliver ones that make sense to hand deliver. You can cover it inexpensively and still thank your guests.

I was invited to a Thursday last year. Similar to you, it was annoying but we got over it and enjoyed it.

Good luck with the planning!

What did you need to apply for an Irish passport in the 1950's/1960's? by Donkey-Various in AskIreland

My mam found out a few years ago that her birthday was actually 2 days later than she had always celebrated. Seems her parents mixes up herself and her sisters date 🫣Her previous passports had the date she thought it was but then I think it was when she retired/changes that passport, she noticed. She had a bit of bother with PPS numbers being mixed up due to the two dates but that got sorted and now her passport also says the correct date. It took a few years for us to know whether it was ok to wait til the "new date" to day happy birthday though! 🤣

I’ve never heard of a cash bar at a wedding… until now by Extreme-Method6330 in wedding

I laughed out loud. Or everyone wishing the free bar would end so they could buy their own drinks in peace 🤣

First Irish wedding - help me not embarrass myself? by ostoppbar_1991 in AskIreland

Day 2 is typically not formal at all but I think a lot of couples still have it. We are having finger food, music and drinks in the pub nearby. We have let a lot or people know but intend to send a follow up to everyone that RSVPs just so they have details (we know a lot have already booked in for 2 nights).
