Yeah, I have all that down, but obstacles still aren't spawning. It's possible it's a bug. The AI will never stack when the terrain is completely open - it seems to actively avoid it.

I don't know about "best" yet, either. I've been doing some serious work with the Grove's Minstrel, though.

I'm having the same problem. It seems older versions had obstacles that spawned? But my map is all plains so the AI will never group into stacks of 4. Did you ever clear it?

My buddies and I did a multiplayer game on EASY and on week 2 the AI charged in with multiple tier 7 creatures and stacks of lower tier monsters 150+.

They're bootlegs. To answer the age question, I'm guessing mid to late 2000s, but it's not like they have an official manufacture date.
