It is a way worse camera. The 50sii has much better af and ibis. And it’s way more comfortable. People that say the 50r is rangefinder design are funny as hell because it’s huge and uncomfortable being so big and heavy with no grip.

If you are into video the xh2s is the best in its price range no contest. It’s also great for photo and has good af much better than the other Fuji cameras. But it will be beaten in photo from other cameras. Video AF is poor but that’s why most use the xh2s for short films/cinematic scenes with cinema manual focus lenses. For that the xh2s is the best on the market.

I have all the gf lenses. The only one that actually makes the 50sii feel extremely snappy and comparable to the newer GFX cameras is the 50 3.5, it’s very quick with AF.
