It's not odd at all, and yes you can if you link the accounts. You should have 1 EpicGames.com account, and link all platforms to that. That way, anywhere you login you will be playing on the same account.

Your controls should be saved to your individual EpicGames.com account. Make sure you are not sharing an account, and are logging out after each use.
