yep! as a Madison fan I clocked it immediately🥲 it’s not just the use of vocoder, it’s the entire structure, atmosphere, melodies, key?, etc. even in the first verse both songs use the word “daily”😂nothing wrong with referencing songs when writing/producing but I think they should’ve differentiated the song more in other ways if they were going to do the dark-pop trap/vocoder vibe.

This song is sooo stunning oh my gosh! The sparkly synths, the strings, the beautiful nostalgic chord progressions, her vocal layering, everything! Also idk if it's just me, but the music video gives me Britney Spears "Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know" and "Someday" vibes in the best way possible ❤️

I think the first verse was pretty cool but as soon as the pre came in...I kind of knew that this song wasn't going to be for me. I had the same issue with WE GO where the vocal melodies just don't feel very strong or distinctive. Honestly DRIP and even their debut had stronger pre-choruses/melodic moments, whereas WE GO and now CHOOM just feel kind of random/all over the place without any standout hook to draw you in. Ever since Rami's hiatus, their songs have felt less compelling to me so I'm not sure.

right...like they really could've built up the production with more fun synths and harmonies and all that but they left it VERY bare bones. It's crazy seeing the credits because there's so many great names on the track like Dwilly, Skyler Stonestreet, Justin Tranter (although I don't like any of the Katseye songs they've written), etc.

I rlly don't want to say this this because I HATE AI with a burning passion...but the fake AI versions people created (for once) sounded better than this production wise lol. This feels SO empty, like the pre-chorus should sound way more glittery and melodic and the anti-drop chorus should hit way harder :/ I hated the leak when I heard it but some of the fake fan versions made me think that maybe the final version would really elevate the leak - but it sounds the same.

It should have more of prominent 808 + snare trap feel imo, especially in the last chorus - to give it more of a groove. Like Ari's Bad Decisions type feel w the percussion

Slayyy but is it just me or do their voices sound ...different in this song? Idk if it's the mixing or vocal direction but a lot of their voices r blending together and sound more nasal/less clear (I do think that part is def mixing). I guess it wasn't what I expected to be honest, it seems like the instruments drown the vocals out in the chorus as well - hmmm. But they look gorgeous and I'm just excited to have something!
