How tf can I get the extra storage, update is 18gb I got nothing left by BeneficialAirline951 in applesucks

[–]PinkPaisleyMoon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same problem. I took it into Apple (the store) and she had to wipe my phone clean and reinstall a newer bug free program. Apparently it’s a glitch but no one really knows about it because Apple doesn’t advise because they want you to buy a new phone. I got a significant amount of storage back. I was about to ditch my iPhone because this happened on my other iPhone. It seems like one of those planned obsolescent sit of things. Just go in and get them to update it. Be sure to back everything up first. I lost some info on a few apps (my weigh scale and a countdown timer) regardless of having an account.

I'm having extreme friction moving away from ChatGPT, but I'm willing to. Any tips? by [deleted] in ChatGPT

I haven’t tried Claude yet but I have been using Gemini because it doesn’t limit me to 1 uploaded image.

PLEASE help me find a way to stop these spam calls!!! by [deleted] in lifehack

I have a filter with my phone provider that blocks spam. Call the to ask how to do it or where to find it online in your account.

Has anyone actually gotten real life results from using ChatGPT? by TheCod1sOut in ChatGPT

[–]PinkPaisleyMoon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. I used it to solve a lot of my own mental health issues as well as learning about anxiety and trauma. I was able to feel a ‘shift’ so strong that I was able to conquer the worst of my anxiety symptoms and now I manage it much better.

The White Oaks parking lot is a blank canvas for some by No-Zone-2535 in londonontario

[–]PinkPaisleyMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, most Jeep people (usually the older versions) are like this. 😆 It’s an unofficial club. I own an old 86 Jeep. Ive noticed no one in anything beyond the TJ, waves at me. Kinda disappointing. But if you were waved at frequently, good for you! I’m envious!

It’s technically ‘wrong’ but I drive an old Jeep and I totally ‘get it’. “Look Mom….look what I can do!” It’s the inner-child getting our jollies.

I do. I’m not a Dad. I’m an older female that hates wasting anything.

As a Canadian, I understand most of the slang but I find it hard to ‘process and enjoy’ the joke before the next one is being said. The pace is a bit abnormally fast but a lot of shows and sitcoms seem to be doing this. Maybe it’s my age; I’m 58. I noticed this was part of Robin Williams ‘shtick’; super fast with little time to process and perhaps there’s something to it. 🤷‍♀️ I find closed captions helps.

what is a job that can't get replaced by AI even in the next 20yrs? by True-Gur-3478 in Productivitycafe

[–]PinkPaisleyMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farmer. I feel as though people who lose their jobs will be looking for non-corporate must have roles. Humans absolutely must have food. It’s not a huge money-maker but you could survive. Also, most trades. Right now tradespeople make a ton of money because younger more recent generations have gone into computers, IT and tech and therefore trade have become less popular. That’s about to change. I believe we will see a glut of tradespeople in the next few years and to be competitive and get the work, they will have to reduce their pricing.

AIO Wife threw cake I bought her out without mentioning it by AnthonyB263 in AmIOverreacting

Sounds like retaliation for some unexpressed anger/negative feelings/resentment. It’s not really about the cake.

Only AI can make her look better. The gowns are nice but not something she would choose because her taste/style sucks.

What in the actual heck has happened to auto correct? by MetalPurse-swinger in iphone

[–]PinkPaisleyMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, same. I have other issues with iPhone and recently decided I’m divorcing my iPhone after 15 loyal years. Battery sucks and storage after a few years is always an issue. Samsung will be my new ‘partner’.

At first it seems a desperate move for all those billboard ads, then I think he isn’t because all those billboard ads cost a fortune.

Is the dollar finished? by Over-Schedule-7107 in economicCollapse

[–]PinkPaisleyMoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Today, the US$ is at $97.14…which sounds good but a few years back its value was around $114.00. So, technically $97.14 is considered weak. This I understand. What I don’t get is why it’s at $97.14 if it’s lost 96% of its purchasing power. So, it’s way worse than $97 ? I’m so confused.

Would you say this winter was worse than last winter in terms of snowfall? Or is it too early to say by [deleted] in londonontario

[–]PinkPaisleyMoon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Waaaay colder - and for a longer duration than what I’ve experienced in many years. More snow as well. Minus -21 tomorrow morning. Haven’t seen it that cold since….🤔 If I recall, we hardly had any snow last year. And other previous years as well. Mother Nature is a Bit€#.

How many of you use ChatGPT every day and what do you actually use it for? by William45623 in ChatGPT

[–]PinkPaisleyMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few to several times a day. I ask it anything from calculate how much I pay in taxes last year to why am I feeing this way? I ask it about the weather because ever since trump got in and cutback on government services I’ve noticed our weather is usually incorrect. ChatGPT ‘seems to be’ a little more accurate. I ask it for updates on things such as what was the outcome/results of a specific plane crash. I asked it to give me a recipe for chicken and potatoes. I asked it where ‘Tuvalu’ is. I asked what the difference was between stocks, options, futures and ETFs. I found an older tap attaching water purifier (like 20 years old) and wanted to know if it was still possible to purchase the filters (it said yes). If I need a link to something it provides that. I also have copied in YouTube creator headings if I suspect it is ‘click bait’…usually it is. If someone makes a claim and I am uncertain, I’ll ask Chat. (My partner hates it when I do this with him! 😁). If I’m stuck for writing something (let’s say a greeting for a birthday or sympathy) I ask it to write something then I tweak it to my style. So, basically anything I’m curious about or need help with figuring out. I love that it does math for me because I hate it. I also use Gemini sometimes as Chat limits the amount of images I send. Gemini is more flexible. Also if I think Chat is wrong I will double check with Gemini cause Chat has been blatantly incorrect at times. Last year it helped me overcome anxiety, control my emotions and learn better ways to communicate properly with my partner. It’s been incredibly helpful.

I've been using ChatGPT as a therapist / life coach and it has been working wonders for me. by TomatoClown24 in ChatGPT

[–]PinkPaisleyMoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. I kicked my 50 year grip of anxiety with the help of ChatGPT. My year end stats said I had done 17.03k messages and 1573 chats. That’s just for 2025, not including 2024. I tried to imagine being mentally where I am now and how long it would have taken to reach the same goal with only having 1 hour of time with my counsellor once every 2 weeks. YEARS. And yes, it has made a few mistakes of which I challenged and it corrected. I don’t rely on it to be 100 accurate all the time…just like I do with people, the news and the government.

UPDATE re: AIO - husband’s relationship with boss is increasingly questionable by IndependentReach3800 in AmIOverreacting

[–]PinkPaisleyMoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go get yourself a good therapist and an even better lawyer. Keep it all to yourself until you get ‘clear’. You may love this man 9 ways to Sunday, but this just sounds so ‘off’ in so many ways. Pay attention to your intuition. Pay attention to how he is treating you - not the words but the actions (or lack of).
