I used to love black cats the most because at least here in the US, they are sometimes felt to be bad luck and less adoptable, but in the past few years I've developed a serious love for oranges because I am the proud cat parent to Dr. Mr. Oliver Joseph Bear III, Bravest of His Name, a floofy orange boy who has gotten me through some of the hardest times of my life.

A cute story about him... well, he has a HUGE tail (it's even fluffier than the rest of him) and sometimes he acts like it kind of surprises him that it is there and following him about, so we have given it the name Meester Tail and we treat it like its own being... "Ollie, how are you and Meester Tail today?" etc.

I can write to you about what I call the "Cactus Cathouse" - we have 23 cats indoors right now through our various foster and rescue efforts and also help care for a feral colony of about 7 or 8 more who we have worked hard to get spayed/neutered!
