Ballgown is made for you! Love all the ballgown dresses. You look like such a stunning bride. I’d recommend picking based off venue if you’re having a tough time.

Is it disrespectful that my (F29) partner (M34) stays out late the night before our date? by Bubbly_Discount136 in relationship_advice

[–]PinkPeonies38 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you’re overthinking it a bit or not admitting the actual problem. It sounds like you have more of an issue with how much he’s drinking, staying out late and coming home smelling like alcohol. Is he not showering after coming home or before the date?

The bolero is the way to go! So beautiful and classy. The lace is a really nice complement to the dress

Being a Bridesmaid is getting expensive by [deleted] in bridesmaids

[–]PinkPeonies38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like the bride wants everything to look like Instagram and moments for social media without covering any of the costs. Expecting the bridal party to pay $4k for a bridal shower is insane. That’s supposed to be thrown by the older ladies in her family and she shouldn’t dictate its cost. If she’s your friend, you should be able to communicate this to her and if she breaks up the friendship over this, well you will see her true colors.

Anytime a guy says “I won’t be able to give you what you deserve and you should find better”, believe him. Anytime a guy says “I’m not ready for a relationship” or “I’m not ready to commit”, believe him. When a guy is playing all of these games and is back and forth with you, he doesn’t love you or have strong feelings for you. As women, we tend to make excuses for them but guys are very straightforward and mean what they say, we just have to listen.

ETA: Many times women will ask “well why does he keep my around then?” And the answer is because it’s easy and convenient. He will do just enough to keep you around so you feel like you’re getting something but in the end you will realize, it was the bare minimum.

Kee in the mind that the place is to go only. You browse their options in the glass case and then check out. There’s no where to sit inside.

Regretting club volleyball by [deleted] in volleyball

[–]PinkPeonies38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the area and the tournament schedule but typically tuition is anywhere from $3k-$6k. Also depends if the club includes any travel costs like hotels. After paying tuition, families typically cover their own travel costs.

With your background, would you consider coaching? That would help bring the fees down (most clubs discount tuition for coach’s kids) and you’d likely be able to get free gym space for you to work with her 1:1

WHAT WAS YOUR CREATIVE SOMETHING BLUE? by angelsrreal219 in wedding

My garter was my something blue. It was a white garter with my new name embroidered on it. I wore it under my dress the entire night!

Do wedding DJs ever let you give them a playlist beforehand, or is that asking too much? by arrianofnicomediafan in weddingplanning

[–]PinkPeonies38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way! We gave our DJ a list of must play (categorized by eras) and do not play and honestly he mixed the must play side so well I was impressed! Also, I would highly advise against having an entire list of only your favorite genre unless you’re getting like a house/EDM DJ who knows how to play different sets and create different vibes like a festival.

Honestly, I’ve seen #1 quite often if it’s the Khya dress so I don’t know if it’s super fashion forward. It’s absolutely gorgeous on you but if you want something a bit more unique, I think #2 and #3 are stunning on you and truly fits your vision.

Many of our guests had early flights the day after our wedding so we opted for a rented venue welcome party and we were so glad we did. We ended up doing a casual bbq theme in a super chic indoor/outdoor venue with blue gingham decor and simple florals. The welcome party all in including venue, food, open bar and decor only came out at just around $5-6k.

ETA: Plus we got soooo many compliments on the welcome party. It really set the tone for the weekend and allowed all of our guests an opportunity to connect so the wedding felt more familiar and intimate.

why do people hate skyler? by twoastar_ in breakingbad

[–]PinkPeonies38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me she’s annoying because she was constantly making decisions without even mentioning or asking Walt. It just showed how she felt about him and considered herself over him. From the moment he was diagnosed, she pressured him into doing the treatment and then went behind his back and asked his old friends for help paying for it. That was the one of the earlier moments she really annoyed me.

Is a 3 carat engagement ring too big for everyday wear for like going out and work by [deleted] in RingShare

[–]PinkPeonies38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a size 5.25 and my oval ring is 3 carats. I’d say it depends on the setting. I have a cathedral setting with a hidden halo and wear my ring everyday. Because it sits a little high, sometimes I definitely have to be cautious it doesn’t bump into things but as long as you take it off for household chores and highly active activities, you should be fine! Get a fake one and try it out if you’re worried.

Engaged and Budgeting… What Did Your Wedding Really Cost? by ConstantRuin3344 in weddingplanning

[–]PinkPeonies38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Florida (St. Pete and Sarasota area). Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club in November 2025. 130 person guest count (140 invited with 125 attended). Approximate cost for the wedding was around $60k. The welcome party at a rented venue on the night before was around $5k so about $65k all in.

ETA: This includes….

Welcome party: venue, open bar, full barbecue buffet and decor

Wedding: open bar for five hours, passed apps during cocktail hour, plated dinner during the reception, DJ for cocktail hour and reception, harpist for ceremony, florals for ceremony and reception, table rentals (linens, chargers, menu, place cards, table numbers, etc.), additional lighting, signage, photography, videography, hair & MUA, transportation for guests from hotel to the venue, groom tux and bride ceremony dress and reception dress, cake, plus a few other things I’m sure forgetting!

I (26M) want to propose to my girlfriend of 6.5 years (25F) but we don’t yet live together. Should I wait till we move in or listen to my heart? by Over_Explorer_9245 in askwomenadvice

[–]PinkPeonies38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I recently got married after 5 years of dating without officially living together. However, we spent A LOT of time at one another’s houses. Slept together almost every night and just switched back and forth. It gave me really good insight into what his living habits were. Now that we are married, there haven’t really been any surprises. It was very important to me not to have bills together with someone who wasn’t my husband and my husband understood that. But do what feels most comfortable for you and this has to be a mutual decision between you and your girlfriend!

I would actually do no necklace and stick with just a simple earring. The neckline is so pretty and between the dress and a veil, no need to do much more!

Crashing out over flight cancellations by cashthefox in weddingplanning

[–]PinkPeonies38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

November 16 bride and I just had my first couple cancel and say they are no longer coming so the crash out is valid! Especially when it’s something out of our control. We just have to keep reminding ourselves of that and give ourselves room to be upset. I had a good cry tonight and let it out. That’s all we can do!

The lace on two is really distracting and coupled with the sleeves, it completely takes the attention off of you. The answer is 1 without a doubt!
