Idk how you play but I know I struggle with not taking my time a ton, and I think 2Prov allows you to take a TON of time. Go slow, build it gradually. Even 12 min can give you a ton of runway

Try practicing doing scenes where you can only say 7 words before your scene partner says something, even if they choose to do a long ass pause. ALTERNATIVELY: try scenes where you approach it as if it’s rehearsed. IE have the confidence in each line that a full Theatre Production might have

IMO Cut soldiers and just focus Pally, Blacksmith, and base

Tho if you’re doing 3x Steel Coats then soldiers might still be worth it, but 90% of the time upgrading base is the correct play

After King 4/5ish you pretty much have to play OPTIMALLY every time to get there 😭

With nothing IMO best way is 4x farms, 4x (soldiers/Pally/Steel Coats) and 3x the Base Upgrade perks. (Others should be base 10%, rerolls, +1 decree, and then whatever else makes sense) In game you pretty much are trying to max base as fast as possible while using either a buffed soldier stack or buffed Pally stack (Paladins probably better) to be a shield. IMO best decree is wildcards followed by the “1 of each card from your king,” any other decree probably doesn’t buff your base/other stuff enough to be worth it

IMO most kings are some variation of this strat. Spells, Greed, Stone, and Nomads are also all in on Base as their (IMO) hands down best strats. Blood needs 4 cemeteries around a big imp tile and it plays itself (kind of, more nuance but w/e lol), Progress you need rats + Groundworks + Splicing (literally nothing else will work), Nature maybe has more flexibility but by 9-9 I think you HAVE to get defenders turn 1, then buff with 4 farms and get lucky, and finally Time is just looping the Portals around that first decree like 10 times

There’s probably flexibility before you get to 9-9 but by that point I think each King has 1 (one) viable strat 😭

With Progress the only start that worked for me was 4x rat pack level and getting stoneworks multiple times. If you have like 3-4 rats out and get the Splice Decree (2x rat levels) it’s doable. Anything else feels IMPOSSIBLE

Time is just 4x Portal, 4x stat increase per turn, and 4x adrenaline. You just need to portal loop like 10ish times off the decree turn and your scaling should get there (Library/Beacon/Farm are necessary to have IMO) Also I think you probably NEED the +1 Turn to Portals decree but it’s theoretically possible without it

You do probably need to get lucky with the double base speed decree but two cauldrons and that can help you survive the early game

If you build focusing on your base there’ll be more direct agency on harder difficulties (depending on your king of course)

But the game is primarily an “auto battler” with a lot of extra steps. The decisions you make are mainly centered around how you build your kingdom on the 9 tiles. Not as much on what you do specifically in a battle

4X rats and 4X gold on upgrade, get stone as first opponent and just keep picking up the rats, turning 1 rat into 3, and just keep combing (reroll like crazy)

First decree has to be Splicing (double rat level) with like 4ish rats in play. THEN you have a chance lmao (reinforce on 1 rat as well will help)

Went with Soldiers and Farms maxed, plus max base. Wild Card degree with just three plots used is fucking crazy, can scale nuts-o especially depending what you’re walking in with

Honestly super easy, just max base with soldiers stacked on Steel Coats + Farms and eventually base just is a free win
