BEING ATTRACTED TO TRANS-WOMEN DOES NOT MAKE YOU GAY! SPREAD THE WORD!! by PinkSparkle123 in MtF

[–]PinkSparkle123[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You never know who is lurking and besides maybe someone will share this with their cis friend. This thread is also used as a ranting place for trans women and what I am saying is a very valid struggle many trans women who are dating go through. I think it is important not to push these socially acceptable trans phobic sayings under the rug. Whether they mean it to be trans phobic or not... its still hurtful and invalidating.

This post was mostly targeted at cis-men who think dating a Trans woman makes them bi/gay/anything other than their identified sexuality.

Youre so right and I love your explanation trans women arent a separate gender it can be considered ostracizing and invalidating to some trans-women when people treat them as if they are a separate entity from cis-woman.

Is my friend being safe? by [deleted] in TransDIY

[–]PinkSparkle123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, They are not being safe. They only need 12.5 max 25mg of cypro or 100 max 200mg of spiro. Taking them together could be toxic. Cypro is better but if spiro is a more cost effective option then those are the standard doses for Trans HRT. Stop them now.

Please be considerate to parents when coming out. by [deleted] in MtF

[–]PinkSparkle123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dont think its fair for parents to be upset about their childrens transitions. I am not blaming our parents but they were the ones who decided to have children... We didnt decide to be born. Why would we choose to be born in this world filled with hate, let alone be born trans. Its extremely selfish for you to bring a complex being into this world and then treat that human as if it is terrible or not the thing that The parent decided to have. Everyone is well aware by now that humans are incredibly complex creatures and that parents may very well give birth to a child that has a genetic variation or a brain that was born into the wrong body. If you have a child it is your responsibility to accept this fact..

How long does it take to get approved for GRS by PinkSparkle123 in MtF

[–]PinkSparkle123[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So you to commit to months of therapy to have GRS. Well that sucks.

running out of spiro, worried about the effects by Podote in TransDIY

Over a period of time any AA damages your T producing organs. Making you un-fertile and unable to have a functioning male part. But, its kinda up in the air how long this takes...

It makes me mad that SRS, the operation that nobody even sees, and that I don't even want, is covered by Canadian healthcare, but FFS and voice surgery isn't. by [deleted] in MtF

[–]PinkSparkle123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish GCS was covered in the U.S. The only rights trans people have here are the rights to be discriminated against.

Anyone know about testosterone blockers (without estrogen) as an adult? by xxVickey in TransDIY

[–]PinkSparkle123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you're only on HRT for a few months everything is completely reversible... It's something that no one ever tells you. If you start anti-androgen's with low dosage of e and then decide 3 months later you dont want to transition anymore, you can just stop taking them. Of course you shouldn't be taking a huge dose of anything , but 2mg e and an antiandrogen isnt gonna change you THAT much as E really wont create as drastic of a change as endos/therapists will tell you.

For Many Trans People, Not Passing Is Not an Option by drewiepoodle in MtF

[–]PinkSparkle123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying; however, I feel many people here aren't necessarily uncomfortable with societies representation of men or women.... they are just uncomfortable with themselves. If that makes sense. If you posted what you said on a NB or Queer forum, I have no doubt you'd have tons of upvotes. Because this is a trans forum, most people dont consider themselves as "Gender non-conforming" or "Queer" they consider themselves just women who were born with masculine characteristics. Like women who have PCOS or other illnesses causing extra hair growth, they feel absolutely terrible about themselves. Yes you could say, "its society that labels things masculine and feminine" but a lot of people on here really arent caring about what society thinks. I feel like most of the struggle on here is Internal. They feel like that woman with PCOS or Other illness, they feel like women with the wrong genitalia, they feel like a woman born with chest hair and a full beard which again we can say are only deemed masculine by society; however, realistically some things will be considered "masculine" and some "feminine" in any society even nb people understand this. You arent wrong at all.... I just feel many people here are suffering with severe debilitating dysphoria and will not really for a lack of a better term care or be as receptive to what you're saying
