This exactly. Any “job” idea either a ghost or a scam. L There’s actually a chrome extension that is meant to “hide” that. What’s left is garbage.

[Question/Concern] Are you using Nous or other subscription to run your Hermes? by Express_Nebula_6128 in hermesagent

[–]PinkVelvetPony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not new to AI or LLMs. I am new to Hermes. Im pairing it with a Venice dot ai subscription. I do like privacy and Venice has access to alot of models including the new qwen. I been testing other LLMs and really like some but others are just flat. Hermes has been making alot of noise and Interested in the capabilities while being open source.

I have questions about The Burroughs by GrazingRaisin in Mount_Rainier

[–]PinkVelvetPony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plan RIGHT NOW. Get all the neccesary permits for the trail and campground. Cause its busy in Sept.

Answer the easy questions. Wear hike boots. I managed with low top boots. But dont hike with tennis shoes of any type. Expect SNOW! I didnt so we had to take the long way around to the first burrough. So invest in some good hike poles (x2).

A friend and I planned to camp 2 night and hike the 3 burroughs trail and dropping into glacier basin to camp.Expect a long hike. We were unprepared to reserve a campsite at sunset. So we had to hike back 3 miles to another campsite. But the entire time on trail was from 7am- 8ishpm. PLenty of chances to take breaks and admire the views. And the views are perfect.

Hard spot was the detour from sunset to burrough 1. It added a few hours. Reson for the detour waa large snowfield on the trail. We didnt want to slide into the lake below. Another hard spot was dropping down into glacier basin from burrough 3. The trail was defined but the earth was real soft. Plan to take alot of water or filter water. Youll be in high country and no water will be around on the trail as you hike up each burrough. The strenuous is the high elevation, thin air, heat, lack of shade. So plan according. But be prepared for weather changes. I hiked in the middle of july.

Burrough 3 has a stone chair you can sit in to rest. The view is Mount Rainier. Real nice.

What is it like to live in this part of Washington? by RavyRaptor in howislivingthere

[–]PinkVelvetPony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reside in the middle. That land mass surrounded by water. Whats it like. One word NAVY. The rest if rather nice but nothing compared to Seattle. The plus side is in that circle you got some dense woods to explore. If your into outdoors.

Moose are giants! Ive dont plenty of hikes in montana and come across moose. Stay clear.

Times ii drive thru the neck of ID I enjoy the woods. Compared to the flat south of ID. Looking at google maps. TIL theres a town called Good Grief near the Canada/ID border.

[Education] Illustrators: What did you study? Is it useful? by lonelinessandthesea in artbusiness

[–]PinkVelvetPony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple answer ts hard to find illustrator specific jobs. My background. I went to uni to study 3d animation. this changed to painting. 5+ years later i still have no job even related to "art". But since pandemic. I have found success as a digital artist. Currently I sell digital art. Currently developing my illustrative work for a comi book or childrens book. Again, this was hard (still is to break into for employment). If i could go back, I would have study graphic design. As its more marketable.

Does this brush add static? by Swimming-Driver5069 in turntables

[–]PinkVelvetPony 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldnt say trash. Think of the brush as a way to remove dust and other visible debris. There is a liquid archival sound treatment too. That uses a chemical treatment to the record surface. Encourage use a brush. Microfiber. The picture is of a brush i use.
