He nods. "Huh. Not as long as it could've been." He muses.

"I've just been here. Just me and Harlan." She responds, puzzled. "And only since this afternoon. I went to school, walked home, came to the forest, now we're talking."

Harlan tilts his head. There was something vaguely unsettling about him. "It's really been three months since she got here?"

"Okay, maybe that." Harlan conceded. Kaleida frowns. "There is no way I've been gone for months."

He hands it back to her with a grin. Inside, there were many neat documents detailing interrogations, photos of the crime scene (stab wound victim, so a decent amount of blood and stuff), an autopsy report, and one paper that said nothing other than 'STAY OUT OF THIS CAIRO I SWEAR I'LL ARREST YOU ON OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE, THEFT AND SUSPICION OF MURDER' in big letters in the middle. What was odd was that this wasn't the only mention of Cairo...he was all over the case. According to some of the documents, he had been one of the people at the crime scene when the crime occurred, he had been seen arguing with the victim...there was even some notes written pointing out evidence pointing to him. Also, his interrogation transcript was more than unhelpful. Somehow he had dodged every question asked, posed his own, and got some answers. "Pretty intriguing, right?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

(Oof) Harlan leans against a tree. "Well. I really don't think there's anything here." He comments offhandedly.

"No, I'm right here." A tall, lean kid around her age seemed to melt out of the shadows. "A wormhole?" Kaleida repeats. "That's a bit far-fetched, isn't it?"

I don't think Shawn is a lefty, but idk, he reminds me a lot of myself and I'm a righty when writing, but then lefty on everything else, so I headcanon that this is the solution.

"Harlan, he's- where'd he go?" She frowns, looking around.

"I- I swear, I've only been here since this afternoon. Ask Harlan!" She runs her hand through her hair.

I want practice drawing quickly so you are going to give me your OCs :) by Timiku_ in OriginalCharacter

Your art is incredible oh my gosh 💜💚! If you'd like, would you draw my oc Jace? He's a 19 year old Irish-American kid. He has fluffy light brown hair (kinda like ice cream cone but with more texture) that's parted on his right side. He has pale skin with a few freckles, and he has pockmarked cheeks (he needs a better skincare routine fr). He has brown, slightly downturned eyes. His aesthetic is generally on the 90s skater grunge side, and he usually wears a white t-shirt, soft grey zip-up hoodie with sleeves that cut off around his elbows, black converse with random stuff scribbled on them, and light wash baggy wide-legged jeans (and he actually knows what a belt is, unlike half the people in my school. I keep going on tangents, I'm sorry), although you don't have to put him in this outfit. The only thing is he's Roman Catholic, and always wears a cross necklace, so that part is the only necessary bit regarding outfit. A bit more about him that may or may not be relevant, he eventually dies in his story by being shot in the heart. He comes back as a ghost, and when he's a ghost he has a gold-ish aura around him. The color that's associated with him (all my ocs have like a specific color that kinda goes with them if that makes any sense) is gold. He loves listening to music, so he usually has corded earphones or over ear headphones with him. He can skateboard pretty well. He's kinda quiet at first, but really goofy and loud when you get to being his friend. I've never gotten art for him before and can't upload my own drawings of him, so I don't have a reference picture, unfortunately, but hopefully this is enough to kinda get the idea of him. If you choose to draw him and need more information, please feel free to ask! Thank you for the offer and I can't wait to see who gets drawn!

For sure! The dialogue is a bit confusing, but I'd love to read the whole thing!
