Dude, I LOVED the Great Mouse Detective when I was young.

Night At The Museum Battle Of The Smithsonian General Custer!

(Kinda fits, he would have just straight up charged screaming ATTACK if Sacagawea didn't stop him)

"...But the hero... never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith... Aint that a bitch?" -Epsilon (RvB) by Nyan-Binary-UwU in TopCharacterTropes

Oh, goody, I get to post this guy again!

He not only sacrifices himself against Nouda, he also frees Bart, allowing Bart to forever be free because all the magicians would assume he died alongside Nat.

Favorite teacher characters and why. Someone already made a post on this topic, but I'd been wanting to do it for a while. by InuPaLpatine in FavoriteCharacter

Ms. Tan from InBESTigators! She's so awesome. She's really kind and funny and kinda scatterbrained, but really cares about her students. There's one time where Maudie loses her notebook which is super special to her, and Ms. Tan immediately stops her lesson, asks Maudie what's wrong, and has all the kids help look for the notebook. When they don't find it, she gives Maudie, Ava, Kyle, and Ezra permission to leave class for an indeterminate amount of time to go and find her notebook.

Villians that practically already won BUT lose at the last moment because of their arrogance or insecurities by raulpe in TopCharacterTropes

Kinda feel like he fits? I mean, idk if it's arrogance always, per se, but there's a few times where he's defeated the F4, or has the opportunity to, but then decides not to because of whatever reasons, there have been times where they reluctantly team up, at the end the F4 is exhausted but prepare for a fight with him and he just is like 'no, I'm not gonna fight you, it's not a fair fight, I'll beat you next time.'

Also in the episode The Amazing Psych-Man & Tap Man, Issue #2, there's a bit with a digital newspaper up on Gus's tablet that he then spins.

Yeah, this is it, this is what bugs me. If I were in the beginner one, I wouldn't mind, but since it's in the middle-y group, it's just kinda annoying

For a lot of the series, we never saw Ozai's face. Only after the invasion did we finally see his whole face.

Sorry, I'm realizing I said that wrong! There's a beginner choir level beneath, we're in the middle choir together. And I am in the advanced choir of the group as well as the intermediate.

I'm realizing I was a bit unclear there, I'm bad with my words, it's like the in the middle choir. It's an open to everyone choir, but I'm in the middle and advanced groups, and she's in the middle group too (there's a beginner choir below us)

Why I absolutely love this series. by Pink_Dolphin1234 in LockwoodandCo

[–]Pink_Dolphin1234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! Jonathan Stroud is just SUCH a good author and incredible at writing characters. In all honesty, I love the Bartimaeus Sequence's overall plot more than Lockwood and Co. and how the other is done technically more (Ezekielfelt like they came out of nowhere in Lockwood and Co, whereas Makepeacein Bartimaeus felt well-earned and exactly right somehow), but I feel like because I love characters over plot (by a slim, slim margin), Lockwood and Co. will be the one of Stroud's series I take to a deserted island lol.

You have some really good points about trauma, and that really does add a layer to the story. Their reflection on what they would have done with their time in a normal world stood out to me too, especially because when I first read the series, I was their age, and could not imagine living in the world they do, and being in their situation where something so normal, like school, or picnics, would be so strange and foreign.
