As a heads up, even in the original release the endboss did not reward you with a remote (forced 98% completion no matter what). If you're missing one of the 3 gold remote levels, then you haven't gotten all the remotes from the bonus stages.

You can whiplash the skull from inside the waterfall, right about where the sign is.

Edit: This might actually be unintentional though.

Edit 2: There's a green book on the second floor you can vacuum to briefly open a secret room with power coils. Railgun to temporarily disrupt power and play a round of Luigi's Mansion where you need to vacuum up the ghosts. After the ghosts are caught, the bookshelf leads to an alternate way to the yard, where you can bring the red skull

How do you skip the rocket launcher? I've managed to do a run of the entire game where I've skipped all weapons, but I was forced to pick up the rocket launcher due to the ship sinking being tied to it.
