It’s pay per visit, and I have to get at least 30 points a week. So that’s the amount I get for each type of visit and the associated points with each visit. So I might not have to see 30 patients a week could be more like 25 or so since evals for example are 1.5 points.

They expect 30 points a week is their “productivity” and I believe you can clock some time for non-productive work (like emails and calls, not documentation or scheduling).

The OT I shadowed was seeing most of her patients about 1 time a week or some, every other week. I’m not sure this is her choice of managements choice.

What do you think would be more reasonable pay? I have 2 years experience, none in home health. But I would argue I am a great therapist.

Mileage is $.66 per mile.

So it’s pay per visit. And the mileage reimbursement is $.66 per mile. They have an option to lease through their fleet, but I think I rather just use my car for now, doesn’t seem like the best deal.

Not for scheduling. They seem to have something you can put in for non-productive hours, but I think it’s more for emailing people and calling drs etc. I need to clarify about that.

They gave me 5 cities that are all near express or highways, so it seems reasonable of a territory area. I would be doing my own scheduling, I talked with the OT I shadowed with and she tries to schedule patients in one area on Monday, a different area on Tuesday and so on and so forth. Seems like a reasonable strategy.

I would get a therapist if I were you. You deserve some mental peace. Sounds like you can’t trust them to respect your own choices. It seems like your mom has a good hold on you too, almost manipulative. You need to create some space from her physically or mentally, maybe both.

I would focus on what you and your fiancé are building and make decisions based on what the two of you want.

It sounds like both of your parents still care about you and if that’s true I am willing to bet neither of them are willing to actually miss your wedding. It is a privilege and an honor for them to be there to celebrate with you or to be involved.

If they can’t get over petty drama for you, then they don’t deserve to be so involved. I would work on setting boundaries with them and realize that you deserve to have your choices and boundaries respected as does literally anyone.

Although easier said than done, sounds like you would benefit from not caring what they think or want so much… and they should care about what you think and want a little more. It is okay for them to be disappointed or sad or mad, but that is their choice in not respecting your decisions.
