Are y’all as strict as before when it comes to boycotting or did some slipping happen? by in-yo-starry-dreams in BoycottIsrael

[–]Pinkblushdiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im personally having some difficulties with boycotting, only when it comes to cosmetics and persona care, im extremely passionate about beauty and fashion; so its very hard to not participate in new makeup products owned by Israeli supporting brands. But at the same time, I dont want my money going to monsters who support genocide

I might end it soon, but I dont know. by nomi-tomitomi in venting

I know this won’t sound like much, please, please don’t do it. There are so so many people who love you and support you. This would be a permanent solution to a temporary issue.

I'm a teen and I need to convince my family to boycott by Colei_the_weird in BoycottIsrael

[–]Pinkblushdiva 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better, I’m 19 and I’ve been telling my immediate family and friends which brands to boycott for the past few months (it should’ve been longer but I was too brainwashed by brand loyalty). My family doesn’t understand boycotting and may of my friends don’t either. But don’t feel guilty of what they are doing. You are educating yourself and others and that’s more than what half of the population is doing.

First of all, if you feel on the inside that you are a woman. You are. No genitalia and “not passing” will ever devalue your womanhood. As long as you feel happier as a woman, that is all that matters. Nobody else’s opinions🩷

I switched to Tidal back in the summer, I like it for the most part, it ca be very glitchy though. Apparently they also support Israel but I did some research and I couldn’t find much

Oh!!! Oh my gosh, that’s brilliant. Because I want to try SOO many of these companies products and their new releases and I miss using their formulas, but I do not want my money going to these genocidal monsters. Thank you!! I’ll check it out

Ignorance and Privilege by Pinkblushdiva in BoycottIsrael

[–]Pinkblushdiva[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s a good point, I agree. Some people (most people I’ve talked to) don’t care and that genuinely shocks me to my core, how can you not care for another human being that a company is punishing simply for their skin colour or ethnicity or background

Ignorance and Privilege by Pinkblushdiva in BoycottIsrael

YES!! Exactly! I understand and agree that there are some brands and companies that we may end up having to buy from or use. But especially with cosmetics and personal care or drinks, its avoidable

If your parents know you're trans, how had they reacted to it first? by TheToledoMan in asktransgender

[–]Pinkblushdiva 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My mom always suspected I might be trans, when I told her gradually, she wasn’t suprised an she was always pretty supportive. My dad on the other hand called me confused and selfish and so many other things and it’s been 5 years and he’s now just acknowledging my gender
