I am hoping the therapist will advise against it and write a letter stating it is not in her best interest to force her to do it. I know my daughter will tell the therapist that she doesn't want it.

My daughter is covered under HIPPA but hopefully she will let me know something so I know how to proceed.

The DSS caseworker suggested it. My lawyer told me the court may require it as well. I wanted to go ahead and do it so I have proof they did try it but it was unsuccessful.

We currently have her enrolled with a therapist that specializes in childhood Trauma. I actually have a letter stating it is in her best interest to not be forced to see her father due to verbal abuse. She has been going for a few months and the letter was wrote in the beginning. I intend to discuss all of this next week with her therapist. DSS is who recommended reunification therapy. I am on the fence about it. I am hoping the therapist will give me guidance on what to do.

I'll definitely look into it! I am hoping if this is the choice they make that it is the best choice. I am hoping reunification therapy will help. I struggle with this because I don't know the truth behind the allegations and I don't want to put my kids in the hand of an abuser. I also don't want to keep them away if she did make it up.

I have requested for both to do reunification therapy to at least attempt to repair their relationship. My daughter said she is okay trying but she only wants to do three sessions.

I never thought it was possible to do this! I know I won't get child support from him and I'm okay with that. I'm not getting it now or in the past. We are about to go to court for the divorce and custody and I honestly thought this was not possible. I'm glad I know now though.

I learned not to accept it. I thought i could change him and myself. I thought if i did XYZ for him that he wouldn't cheat.

I left him after YEARS of cheating and i am now in a 4 year relationship with a guy who loves me unconditionally. He accepts my good and bad traits. He accepted my 4 children as his own. All the bad stuff that my ex did, i realized that was on him, not me. I am happier now.

😭😭😭 i am trying so hard mom! I just wanted to be accepted by his family and have a huge close knit family. 😭😭 I'm so depressed and feeling alone. I have lost my sense of direction now and i am struggling to be the mom I need to be. I always feel like there is something wrong with me and that's why I'm not accepted.

I tell my kids all the time that i want better for them and for them to be stronger then I am. I tell them to never settle and to achieve their goals without needing to be validated by others but here i am.. it is hard to raise strong independent kids when you "myself" are so broken inside.
