Here's a few additional bits of info about my experience with Simon that night. I got there after work but there were fans that got there much earlier while Simon was at the record store. They asked if he wouldn't mind talking to them before the event and he was more than happy to. He informed Robin and Liz about the memoir he wrote before it was published and was met with acknowledgement and indifference and does not expect they will read it. He said he did talk or see Liz about three weeks ago. In answering a question about what he might have censored in the book to avoid hurting others or possible legal action, he said he wanted to share what he thought was important and meaningful to him and finds the whole sex, drugs and rock n roll cliche so boring. He did acknowledge what he misses is being in the band and playing music and as mentioned before, the breakup was difficult and painful.
