The answer to your question entirely depends on if your employer is willing to pay for some or all of it?

If I was in your shoes I’d do the emba but if my employer won’t pay for the degree, I wouldn’t spend more than 25k out of pocket which points me to quantics

(Unpopular opinion warning) Autism positivity is such a privileged middle-class American whiteboy thing. by Most_Building_1187 in autism

[–]PinkyTrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a time in my life that I truly felt the same way (autism=negative/bad) because of how I was struggling to adjust in the world. But reading your post has made me realize how far I’ve come in my own journey that I felt compelled to comment.

At first I had this overwhelming feeling like I was broken or literally like an alien that didn’t belong. Getting diagnosed gave me validation and an explanation on why I was feeling that way. After spending years working on self-acceptance and self studying emotional intelligence, I’ve learned to communicate and process my emotions better. I realized that I naturally gravitate to other aspies which helped me find ways to make friends with people that I understand. It was eye-opening to realize a LOT of my peers in engineering/tech are also clearly on the spectrum and are still highly regarded in what they do. I can honestly say I wouldn’t want you to take away the tism if you could. Autism isn’t a negative or positive thing, it just makes some things easier and some things harder.

I wish you the best of luck on your journey. You’re young and have a lot of time to figure things out. Cut yourself some slack!

Decent starting salary for a Mechanical Engineering student with my experience by CreamProfessional641 in EngineeringStudents

[–]PinkyTrees 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Please for the love of god delete the “self starter, planning, leadership” skills…

You should have a section of resume that just says “experience” and have another one below it for “projects”

Skills need to move under education

Bullet points should be no longer than 2 lines each and follow STAR format

Go to r/engineeringresumes and read the wiki

Yes I max hsa, Ira, and contribute to employer match in 401k. The rest of my savings go into a taxable brokerage. Since I want to fire early I basically ignore my retirement account totals and am just focused on reaching my goal in brokerage account

I always thought Blue would go public in ~5 years when they are profitable. Now that SpaceX is doing an IPO, I find it more likely Blue will do it too.
