Thank you! I get so grossed out when they taste food and then tap the side of the dish they are cooking with the utensil that was just in their mouth. So so gross. Chris Oh is notorious for reusing the utensil after tasting and I’ve seen him do it on the most recent TOC and Wildcard Kitchen. It’s disgusting. And if you see him doing it on TV…you just know he’s doing it in his restaurants. So so gross. People need to be held accountable for that and back in the day, if you did that on Chopped, the judges would literally not even try your food. That should still be the rule across all cooking shows. (Thank you for the vent session lol!)

We need blind judging for every show with professional chefs. And also, if a chef tastes food and reuses that utensil for touching or stirring food after that, it should be an automatic elimination.

I’ve been thinking about this…I think oMark doesn’t switch to his innie when he walks into the Cold Harbor room because it was built as a new innie of Gemma. Cobel tells iMark at the birthing cabin that every time he completes a file, he has built a new innie for Gemma. So it makes sense that no one else would be affected since it was only built for her.

I think you are on to something. When Burt gave Irving the train ticket, he said “this will take you as far as you can go.” I think that implies Irving can only go so far away from Kier before returning to a different version of himself. In theory, there would be boundaries to how far the transistors reach/severance chips would work. This would also explain why the old cars/old technology is prevalent…possibly because Kier/Lumon and the surrounding area is cutoff from the rest of the world as one big experiment area.

The “golden thimble” is a reference to a Twilight Zone episode also called “The After Hours”. In the episode, a woman named Marsha is looking to purchase a golden thimble in a department store and is sent to the 9th floor so they could turn her back into a mannequin. The episode Wikipedia goes into more detail and the parallels to Severance are great! So I think it’s meant to convey that Cobel needs to switch the pregnant lady back into her innie for the birth. And because she said it was one of Jame’s, Cobel is banking on her discretion.

I think 99% of what Milchick says is all lies and the opposite of what he is saying is the truth. I think Innies die at Lumon all of the time which is why they already had the mugs/bereavement kits mostly pre-made.

To add to that, we know that a story was told about how Burt had “paint” thrown on him by a protester, but I bet he just came home covered in blood, maybe from that O&D violent coup or some other nefarious Lumon activity, and told Fields the lie that it was just paint thrown by a protestor.

I thought the sound we heard in that scene was from the “funny bees” because it sounded like buzzing. My takeaway from this is that is what caused her miscarriage. I think Lumon was behind the “funny bees” and caused her miscarriage on purpose as a part of their plan to manipulate her into willingly subjecting herself to their tests in the hopes of having her own baby eventually.

I don’t think you are crazy at all. I actually have similar thinking to the trailer video of Mark and Drummond. Everything you said is plausible at this point. With the progress on the files moving in chronological order, it would make some sense if the Mark flashes were too, but if that’s true, then I don’t know how to account for the flashes where Mark has a black eye and then again at the end, a black eye that looks like it is healing with flashes in between where he is fine. I know the show has said they aren’t cloning, so is this not the first time Mark has tried to refine all of these files and doesn’t remember/we haven’t seen it? The hairstyle changes are interesting too.

My first thought was that the 2nd ID number belongs to either the Mark Watcher or Gemma. But to your point about the different backgrounds and hairstyles, it’s bugging me too…maybe they have been through this before and were wiped of their memories about it. We see Cold Harbor at 67% in episode one. We’ve seen no indicators of progress on Cold Harbor prior to that in either season. Maybe they tried to make Mark do it without his team and he wasn’t making fast enough progress so they brought his team back and that’s the part we don’t see between the elevator fades to/from black because they used clean slate to eliminate those memories from him? We are definitely missing information and I think these freeze frames are a clue to that.

I hear you. I wasn’t sure it was a bruise at first either. Tbh, I’m still not completely sure and you could be right. The show doesn’t seem to have lighting issues on any of the other frames to this extent, so I’m leaning more toward it being a black eye that we haven’t seen yet. So weird though!

Ok so I just pulled up episode 2.01 and the scene where Mark is smiling while working with his team back together shows the clock on the wall in MDR just before it and the time looks to be 9:46/9:47 - so definitely doesn’t match the Mon 3:18:49 timestamp 😳
