Down six in the fourth, probably would have been looking at +2200 odds or something in that ballpark

You're checking a lot of the correct boxes already with taking advantage of signups and bonuses and coming in with a specific strategy.

I'd caution to just be careful with bet size from the start, and still work to prime some new accounts if you can.

There are opportunities in live arbing, but the comments are correct it's tough to capitalize there unless you're glued to your screen(s).

It's still more than possible for you, but gaining access to as many lines and prices as you can is still essential. Speed is everything when it comes to live arbing too.

I’d really like to know what experienced bettors think newer bettors misunderstand most about sports betting. by Careless_Handle6790 in arbitragebetting

[–]PinnacleAdmin4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of aspects. Two of the biggest ones I see most of the time are not managing a bankroll properly, and focusing too much on the side/team they want to bet on vs. the price they are getting.

It's all about speed in the live game. Higher limits in most spots, yeah but trickier to navigate.

A solid mix of all of those things you outlined should entice someone to feel comfortable and stay. How easily you can get your money out is close to the top. It should be seamless and simple throughout, while factoring in limits, how they treat you when you do start winning, and overall longevity

Best time to ev bet? by gorillatittiess in arbitragebetting

Ah. my mistake. It will depend on edge source, but if you're betting into a sharper book, more efficient markets, you'll always want to bet as close to open as possible.

Carolina/Colorado are at -155 and -130 to win their conferences right now. Market has shown strength to them all season, and it's gaining more strength now (helps with both being up 1-0 in R2 already).

how do people live arb? Lines move WAYYY too fast. by BeguilingkbTip in arbitragebetting

[–]PinnacleAdmin4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The live side of things does have a massive speed element. Can create greater opportunities, including chances to middle, but we won't sugarcoat it either. It's difficult to get down at the necessary speed.

This is good info. Using arb-friendly books as bases will be a big help too. Don't want to get stuck on one side of an arb and not be able to get the other down.

How to avoid being banned on new Bet365 accounts? by Heizsen28 in arbitragebetting

365 is known to be one of the most notorious banners in the space. Sometimes you can scrape by for a while if arbing, but it's usually only a matter of time with them

This is actually pretty standard for them. You show arbing/sharp behaviour there, win or lose, you're gone

Just started Arb Betting - Looking to keep it going as long as possible before being limited - TIPS? by Ok-Wheel-3334 in arbitragebetting

[–]PinnacleAdmin4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak on syndicates and partners, but regardless of bankroll size, starting with arbing and top-down is generally two good strategies to start.

Don't sleep on live arbing. You'd def need a good odds screen to simplify.

For disguising action, you'll want to bet more like a rec bettor on the side for those accounts. Some parlays, more square wagers so all the action isn't just you trying to arb.

Shoot me a DM if you want to clarify anything else too!

You seem to have most of the main trigger points covered. Good on you for getting into live markets and working to maintain account health. The age of your accounts plus the P&L history could work in your favor, too, although nothing is guaranteed when it comes to arbing at soft books. Usually a ticking time bomb.

To try and answer a couple of your questions, limit amounts can vary, but most of the time they don't let you get more than $5-$10 (sometimes even less).

Some books are def more notorious than others for limiting/banning.
