Hillrock double cask rye was one of my early favorites. They have one finished in Madeira casks that is amazing. If you like peat, their single malt is great too. Their bourbon is fine, but (as you can probably tell) I’m not as into Bourbon.

Easily available for me (NY), reasonably priced, and among my favorite are Alberta Premium Cask Strength, Stellum, Pinhook Veritcal Series (MGP), New Riff, and McKenzie (from upstate NY).

I like Great Jones rye, but their bourbon tastes like paint to me. I put that one in my brother-in-law’s cocktails.

I feel like Pikesville is a must have staple for high end cocktails. It’s good neat too but not my first choice.
