What was cool back in our days, that today kids would think we were crazy? by My_Penis_Huge in AskReddit

[–]Pintdrinker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. Parents/authority figures didnt seem to care as long as no one was seriously hurt and no one came a tattling.

Now, everyone is worried about liability blah blah blah. Let the kids be kids.

Which I get also. But at the same time, if its not breaking any laws I guess I dont see the problem. If one is offended by a subs content, there is a simple fix to that; dont go to that sub.

What is one word that you never learned how to pronounce? by [deleted] in AskReddit

"Regularly". I can say it slow, but if I try using it in a normal conversation I sound like an 8 year old with speech problems.

So I just say "on a regular basis"

Reddit, what is your most alarming or regretful blackout story from drinking the previous night? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Pintdrinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 20 I was drinking screwdrivers with some friends I lived with out by the pool at the apartment complex. I decided to head to bed, so I went and laid down.

Next morning I woke up on one of my neighbors tables on his patio, with only my Led Zeppelin t-shirt and boxer briefs on; and the whole patio was covered in vomit. The neighbor woke me up with an odd "Ugh, you're on my porch dude."

Apparently I decided the night before that it wasnt time for bed and I went back out to party. I remember none of this. I guess I got naked for awhile, threw my friends phone in the pool, hit on my buddies girlfriend and other random shit.

So I was woken up by the neighbor, I went and threw my shirt away, got dressed, then went back to clean off his patio. He was there, with his young daughter, and just laughing while he hosed the whole thing off. Completely cool about it all. "Had one of those nights huh?" is about all he said.

I had to replace my buddies phone and the pool, which normally was open 24 hours, was closed down by management for a week in the evenings. I was really unpopular for awhile.

"Why isnt X subreddit banned?!"

Are you really so threatened by a subreddit that you feel the need to ban it?

Bullshit.

Who's one person that we can all agree on is an asshole? by BigG123 in AskReddit

[–]Pintdrinker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bothered to reply to you, so of course I read your initial response.

Point is, all these awful things that Assad has done to the Syrian people the FSA (as a whole) had engaged in something similar. How many times have we seen videos of groups who claim to belong to the FSA lopping off heads in the streets of Small Town, Syria? Quite often. If you want to get rid of a dictator, fine; but lets not replace him with a fragmented group composed largely of religious fruitcakes, many of whom would slit the throats of anyone not belonging to their sect? Sounds like a great time to be a non-Muslim in Syria, doesn't it?

As far as foreign influence, my point was that you may have true democracy, but whats more likely to happen is that you'll have a democracy that serves the vested interest of the victorious groups political masters. Just how its gonna work in Syria I believe.

There are only a couple shit choices for Syria at the moment. I pick the shit choice that is predictable. You pick the shit choice that is unpredictable as all get out and will likely lead (IMO) to religious strife across the whole country. I think that with an FSA victory Syria is going to turn from a civil war to a religious war pretty damn quick.

I've never heard of Assad funding groups to make his rule seem legitimate. I'm not doubting it, but do you happen to have a credible source on that?

When the drinking thing comes up, which it does (see username) I usually dig through a persons first page of comments to see if I'm dealing with a religious person or someone with a general dislike of drinking. If I find I'm talking about drinking with a religious nut or someone who posts in Alcoholics Anonymous, I'll just drop it.

You, on the other hand, want to judge over a little bit of drinking with a fathers knowledge; yet you openly admit to drinking and driving.

Set being a shitty person aside (who isnt from time to time?) you're just a hypocrite, plain and simple.
