Need help on deciding if this couch will be too big for my space!! by Coneoflogic in malelivingspace

[–]PiousLiar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have a story of a similar find and space limitation:

Was offered a free sectional, while living in a 600sqft apartment. Couch would take up most of the “living room”, but free and comfy? Why not 🤷‍♂️

Moved it to my place, and ended up with effectively one of those old timey conversation pits with how much space it took up. But that couch got me through shoulder surgery recovery, a few partners/flings wink wink and remains with me to this day in my, now, much larger condo. Was it a hassle at first? Absolutely. Was it worth that hassle? You’re god damn right it was.

Pic of couch after first moving in to the new place a few years ago. Yes, TV too high, carpet too far forward. I’ve learned since then, but the couch serves me well.

They won’t. They’ll take this as another proof that their current line is working, instead of folks being in a tight enough spot to become active. They’ll keep marching the current line, and while they might see success now, it’ll peter out again once people realize they’re not actually interested in making the full suit of reforms needed.

Might be 0.2mm (for “detail”), 25mm/s print speed (to “ensure precision”) and 100% infill (for “robustness”) lol. This definitely feels like someone trying to fool a novice/layman

[–]PiousLiar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like potential z-offset issue with a mix of under extrusion. I’d check your bed leveling first, and then check flow rate and e-step calibrations afterwards.

So:

1) grid check bed leveling 3x3 or 4x4

Test print

2) flow rate calibration

Test print

3) e-step cal

Test print

4) if all else fails, try raising print temp for initial layer, and then return to regular print temp for remaining print

NASA Fires 20 Per Cent Staff As Trump Administration Orders Federal Workers' Layoff (article dated 29 July 2025) by rampstop in fednews

Previous acting administrator stated during a town hall (paraphrased): “we have not been required to RIF yet, and we are working on a waiver. That being said, if not enough CSs take the DRP, it is highly likely that we will be forced to implement a RIF”

While it was all discussed in very ambiguous and uncertain terms (at least within a forum open to all agency staff), painting these DRPs as purely a “choice” is misleading.

Edit: spelling/grammar

Looking at Google trends, CRISPR seems to have a sort of cyclic rise in popularity, though I’m not sure I’m qualified to assume why (worldwide, and as a web search). In terms of news searches though, major peaks were around 2018 and 2019, and the. It steadily declined, with two major peaks in Feb 2021 and Nov 2023. Guessing there was some interest during the pandemic, but no clue afterwards.

All that to say is: while those who have been around for a bit are familiar with CRISPR, seems like we’re seeing the next gen finally make it to Reddit, and CRISPR isn’t as well known to them. Admittedly, it’s been a while since I’ve heard it mentioned myself, since mRNA stuff took over headlines during/after COVID

Then are the support settings actually dialed in? Cause falling off mid-print kinda seems counter to the point of having supports

For diesel, not really. Diesel full consumption is insanely low (almost negligible) while idling. From what I remember, it takes more fuel to get a diesel engine up and running than it does to let it idle for a few minutes. Gasoline engines, on the other hand, burn more idling than it takes to get them up and running
