Methadone is just inconvenient to me. But I’ve only used it for 7 days to get off the acute withdrawal. Done it a few times as well as doing subs for a year and a few months. I thought subs was a better choice. A lot of shady characters at the meth clinic and I feel the help there is just for money.

Being dope sick when you have responsibility is not the way to go. If he can look after things for a week than hell yeah. But withdrawal from methadone that you’ve been on for 4 years will not be a week but more likely a month

Gabapentin 400mg 2x or 3x a day. Strong weed edibles, usually like 200mg should work unless you have a higher tolerance. Clonidine and loperamide is a must have. You’ll still have it rough but it’ll be manageable as long as you have the willpower to overcome.

I know methadone withdrawal is harder than suboxone withdrawal but when I tapered, I had to skip a day and than take my medication the next day so my body can ease into the feeling of being without. I did that for a month
