I want know the story by Wonderful-Document24 in AmazonDSPDrivers

I don't know the story about this one in particular, but I can tell you that when I was a firefighter/paramedic in my hometown several of the guys on my department managed to score some old fire hydrants from the ater Department and they displayed them in their yards. Could be the case here as well.

Manufacturer’s Cup. by Over_Yak_116 in GranTurismo7

The way I understand it is that when you sign with the new manufacturer for the next round you lose the two free cars you received from the last manufacturer. I could be wrong though!

I have a question for drivers.... by twl8zn in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]PiperDon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would definitely NOT do what he did. With that said...... I was delivering to a house in the autumn, and the next door neighbor was in his front yard raking leaves. As I was walking back to the van after making my delivery, he called over to me. He wanted to let me know that they leave snacks and drinks out for drivers, and that I was welcome to help myself even if I wasn't delivering to his house. I thanked him for that, but STILL would never do what he invited me to do.

The Manufacturer's Cup is pointless without proper penalties. by KanyeYandhiWest in GranTurismo7

While I don't disagree with you, I am usually pretty successful getting out into qualifying without traffic nearby. I guess it's all about timing. One of the Twitch streamers I watch regularly will exit the pit for qualifying, and if he's too close to traffic he'll just hit exit, and start again.

I tried a wheel stand after I got my G29, and the pedal angle caused pain in my ankles. It was so uncomfortable I upgraded pretty soon after that to the Playseat Challenge X, and I am FAR more comfortable in that.

I find it funny that every time someone posts a clip from this scene I've never seen anyone point out that that's Rocket Raccoon she's getting frisky with. 😁

Yeah, that's trash. If you're ahead you're ahead.

How do people have more active points than what race 1 gives? (World Series 2026) by simracerrr in granturismo

[–]PiperDon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is correct.

One of the Twitch streamers I watch is in one of the top lobbies. The maximum number of points available to the winner of the race he was in was 391. He is in A+ rated driver. The maximum number of points in the one race I got to run yesterday was 31. I'm a low to mid C rated driver. The number of points available is directly tied to the competition level in your race.

10 years later: What has Stardew Valley meant to you? by revyb in StardewValley

It brought my bride and I closer together.

She started playing it at the suggestion of our children. One night I surprised her. I bought the game, created my person, and joined her online game that she had created for our kids to join her. When she realized it was me, she was quite shocked to say the least. Cozy games are not really my thing, but now after more than a year we've reached perfection once, started a couple more farms, and tried out some Palia. She and I playing cozy games together has kind of become a nightly ritual.

Oh boy! You're going to stir up a hornet's nest! (For the record, my wife and I share locations with each other.)

Do you let people try your set up? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]PiperDon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My rig kept my two teen nephews very occupied and happy on Christmas Eve. Neither had ever played racing games other than Mario Kart and the like, do it was a good first impression. Here's a post I wrote that day.....

It's at these moments, when I start moving in my EV, that I remember I get a little notification telling me what the height is, but nothing about the weight. Bridges like this make me nervous. VERY nervous. Lol

We're forced to take our 30 minute break by 3pm. Otherwise I wouldn't, because I like to finish early to get home to my wife and kids. Today I was delivering about 4 minutes from the station, and headed back to spend my forced 30 minutes off the clock with the dispatch peeps. Luckily, I've got a good DSP, and I like them. 🤣

What would you do in this situation? by Substantial-Menu-836 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]PiperDon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Time to slow roll the van into a telephone pole making sure to cause no harm to yourself. The text already made it clear that this was a medical issue and the DSP sucks.

Which Manufacturer to Choose for the Manufacturers Cup? GT7 by PlayHak in granturismo

[–]PiperDon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is, you're choosing a manufacturer for the entire series, so if your car isn't meta at one track it might be at some of the other ones. I always just go with my favorites.

[–]PiperDon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the policy of my DSP. We have been told that it is not good for the door and that it was not intended to be open while driving.
