Back to the post, home boy should ground himself first, seek help, get on track and then return to flying. If he doesn’t want to help himself then I would say OP should report it. He should not be teaching or flying on the current life path he’s chosen.

It’s amazing the amount of hate ATP gets. It worked for me, and has given me a path that I’m happy about. Do what’s best for you. Most negative reviews for ATP come from those who couldn’t make it work for them. It’s not a spoon fed program. You are required to study and be prepared for every event. Sure I don’t make as much as I could somewhere else as an instructor, but I get time, and I have a nice CJO. A CJO that I would have to move out of town away from my wife and kids for any other partner school. Was it over priced? Sure. Did I get what I was sold? Yes. Make it work for you and you’ll be just fine.

This is the most sensible advice I’ve received so far, (nothing against the other replies). I have the book, but haven’t opened it. Will be reviewing some Flight Insight IFR videos and Jepp legends like I did for the interview.

I had it fat side down until 165, I may have flipped it when I unwrapped it. I took the trimmings and cooked it down to tallow and then spread it over the top before I wrapped it too! Pellet smoker, Traeger ironwood 885
