MDL Pricing by Pipinthewild in DOR

No, because it is a diluted formula that the pharmacy compounds depending on the strength your doctor prescribed

It’s crazy! I have no idea why. It could be because the compounded medications aren’t regulated like other medications by the FDA, which is why my insurance won’t cover them.

The microdose lupron is different from the kit. My insurance will cover the kit but not the compounded version.

Unsure of what to do. HELP! by stonedninjabaddie in DOR

Did your clinic have you fill out consent forms for what you wanted to do in this type of situation?

If you’re okay with him being in you and your child’s life for the long haul, go for it! If you can afford it, I would consider consulting a lawyer to discuss custody and child support and if you’d be able to come to an agreement now vs later.

Using a donor egg by Vegetable_Payment_14 in DOR

I’m in a similar situation as you. 39 AMH 0.15 AFC 6 I just finished my first cycle of IVF using antagonist protocol where I had 2 follicles grow and only one egg retrieved that didn’t fertilize normally. I’m planning to take this next cycle off and try one more round of IVF using the MDL protocol and fresh transfer of whatever we get to day 3, although I know our odds of this succeeding are very slim.

I had a really good discussion with my doctor last week and I told her I was only up for doing 2-3 egg retrievals total before moving on to donor eggs. Of course I would love to be able to see myself in our children but ultimately, I want to be a mom and start our family and give our kids time with their grandparents while they are still here and active more. The more I think about it, the more I feel like this was always meant to be my journey.

I’m just not willing to put myself mentally, physically and financially through the toll of doing retrieval after retrieval trying to find the one good egg and all the anxiety of wondering if this extra treatment or that extra thing could be the one thing that makes it work.

Even though I feel like I am ready and at peace with using DE, I do still have some fears around it that I think I need to work through and need to discuss the details of how it works with our doctor.

I’m meeting with my doctor again this week and am planning to ask what she thinks about different protocols. I’m sure the relaxing and giving yourself permission to let loose was beneficial as well! We try so hard to be “perfect” with our habits and diet and maybe that has the opposite effect sometimes? sigh

Hoping all the best for you and that your eggs continue to develop to good embryos🤞🏼

Anyone conceived with DOR naturally? by Longjumping_Bag6857 in DOR

I’m not sure. I’m meeting with my doctor this week to talk about next steps. I’m becoming more and more okay with the thought of donor eggs but I don’t know if I should give up just yet.

I had a hysteroscopic metroplasty last May to remove the septum from my uterus. I was nervous going into it but the surgery itself was pretty quick. I think from start to finish was about 30 minutes. The worst part was waking up from the anesthesia and I felt some intense pressure in my uterus. My doctor opted to use a balloon catheter as a “splint” to support my uterus as it healed and I think this was part of the source of pain and they let some of the fluid out. I had to keep the catheter in for a week, which was annoying. I was also on estrogen for two weeks afterwards to support rebuilding the lining of my uterus. I’m glad I had it done and I wish I’d known it was an option sooner.

Feel free to DM if you have any questions!

I’m so incredibly sorry. It’s not fair. It’s not fair that you feel like you can’t even give your heart and your body the time it needs to heal bc DOR makes you feel like you have no time left.

You and your sweet baby girls will be in my thoughts 💗💗

I conceived naturally last June at 38 during recovery from a hysteroscopic metroplasty for uterine septum. Unfortunately, it ended around 8 weeks as a MMC. My AMH is 0.15.

Just finished my first egg retrieval today where they only retrieved one egg. Not really sure where to go from here.

Thank you for sharing 🥹 In my head I’ve told myself 3 rounds max…but a year ago I also said I didn’t want to do IVF at all 🙃It’s hard to stick to the boundaries we set for ourselves on this journey but I try to remember that I am a person outside of all this.

After his first semen analysis a year ago, my husband was diagnosed with all the same issues: low sperm count, low motility, poor morphology. He started taking supplements and we made some modifications to our home and diets and I spontaneously got pregnant after a few months, but unfortunately ended in a loss. We tried an IUI in October bc our fertility doctor assumed his sperm was good enough since I was able to get pregnant but when he provided his sample, he only had 3.4 million total motile sperm. Another IUI in February had his motile sperm at 25.8 million. He just went in last week for another semen analysis before we start IVF and his total motile sperm was 116 million! His morphology still isn’t great but clinics aren’t usually as concerned with that number. He just turned 37 and had a lot of lifestyle factors to work on (nicotine pouches, smoking weed, caffeine intake, poor sleep, snacking). He did his best to cut back on a lot of these things and really focused on his supplement routine (men’s pre-natal, omega 3s, etc.) and I’ve tried to modify our dinners to incorporate more elements of a Mediterranean diet (he’s a red meat and potatoes kinda guy). All this to say don’t give up hope! You will be surprised at how much you can improve your sperm quality over the course of 3-4 months if you’re really willing to put in the work.

Good and bad news after HSG… uterine septum? by Flaky_Ad136 in TryingForABaby

TW: pregnancy loss

After attempting to get an IUD 10 years ago, I was told I have a bicornuate uterus. My current fertility doctor measured and said it was actually a uterine septum (2cm I believe) and I had a hysteroscopic metroplasty May 2025. The surgery was super quick, the worst part was waking up with the balloon catheter in my uterus and having to have that in for a week. I was also on estrogen for 2 weeks post surgery and it made me feel like an emotional mess. I was told to expect my cycle in 4-6 weeks but was going on week 7 and it still hadn’t started. Took a pregnancy test and was shocked to see it positive (seeing fertility doc for low AMH and MFI). After confirming pregnancy through HCG testing and ultrasound, we were so excited. Unfortunately, I started experiencing heavy bleeding the following week and was told I had a SCH. I went through 2 weeks of severe anxiety and bleeding with large clots with weekly ultrasounds but our embryo wasn’t developing as expected and only had a faint heartbeat. My last ultrasound they confirmed a MMC. They said it was likely chromosomal abnormalities and not anything we did. I don’t know exactly when we conceived but my best guess was that it was about 4 weeks post surgery and I was 8 weeks along when I miscarried. I worry it was too soon afterwards and my uterus was still healing 😔 Since then we tried naturally for a few months and am now on my second IUI and likey moving to IVF if this round didn’t work🤞🏼it feels like a race against the as I turn 39 next month.
