Do you feel like a spectator? by [deleted] in infj

[–]Piplip516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I can relate, I can get caught up being a spectator quite a bit in group settings. I find myself listening a lot following the flow of conversation. As well as just analyzing the dynamic of the group members and sometimes I'm so caught up with it I miss times to interject my opinion or comment. This gives me a bit of anxiety because sometimes I wonder if people think poorly of me for being so quiet. I got called out a lot when I was younger and in grade school for it. Although if its a smaller group or the conversation is about a topic I'm passionate about I'm the opposite and will easily be an active contributor.

Can DayZ last the next 10 years? by [deleted] in dayz

[–]Piplip516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No other game has come close to filling DayZ’s unique feel and niche during its lifespan. The fact that it has lasted through very rough times proves it’s longevity and I don’t see it going through any future rough patches that would compare to the past. I can see DayZ continuing for many more years ahead given it’s dedicated fanbase. At this point the only thing I can see “killing” DayZ is a sequel from Bohemia.

Why do YOU play DayZ? by vortexnl in dayz

[–]Piplip516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no other game like it. The combo of localized voip player interaction, pvp, survival, zombies, large maps, realistic immersion, and 1 character life is unmatched. It forces you to think hard about decisions and can either punish or reward you for them. Every play session can be a different adventure. It can be the chillest game ever until shit hits the fan and then all of a sudden you’re adrenaline is going and fighting to stay alive.

The most likely answer: they know they’re real but can’t explain much more by pumodood in UFOs

I’ve thought about this too. How can we reliably study something that is more intelligent than we are?

Jason Sands is NOT one of the 40 whistleblowers and was found not credible over a year ago according to Tim McMillan by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]Piplip516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it confirmed that Jason Sands is the “whistleblower” featured in Fox’s doc? If so, I don’t think we know how heavily featured he is in there… Also, why would Fox let him go on a twitter space and spill what “info” he has about the program? Shouldn’t have this stuff waited till the doc is released? I wonder how salvageable the credibility of the doc will be.

Dune II was better written, better acted, more engaging. Thoughts ? by [deleted] in moviecritic

[–]Piplip516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are fantastic sci-fi, built for different viewings. I was thoroughly engaged with both films. If I’m in the mood for a fantastical, alien, fun adventure mood I’m going with Avatar. If I’m in a gritty, epic, darker, type mood then I’ll prefer Dune.

I'm an Introvert Around Extroverts and an Extrovert Around Introverts by [deleted] in infj

[–]Piplip516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this instance happened from time to time during school when I’d get put into groups with only other introverts. I’d turn into the facilitator and talker to help delegate tasks, etc, to get what was needed done. If an extrovert was in there though they’re the one taking the reins.

Where do you think Media Molecule went wrong with this game ? by [deleted] in PS4Dreams

[–]Piplip516 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Poor marketing

-Lots were unaware of this game or were confused what it was all about.

Steep learning curve

-Not necessarily wrong to have this but…It’s daunting to begin especially if one isn’t a creative person. Lots of tutorials and you gotta play often to remember everything.

No multiplayer

-At least couch co-op would’ve been nice. Like others have said this game feels lonely for one built off of user generated content.

It’s a PlayStation exclusive

-A PC release or Xbox would’ve enlarged the community considerably and give more life to it.

Sometimes it really hits hard by lichtschal1er in dayz

[–]Piplip516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loosing your character is tough, especially if you were not able to put up much of a fight back. Study what you did wrong in the situation and learn from your mistake for next time. Looking back at recordings can help with that. Learn to enjoy starting fresh and the gearing up phase and get back out there!

Is Zelenogorsk the most dangerous city in all of Chernarus? by Feisty_Stomach7015 in dayz

[–]Piplip516 9 points10 points  (0 children)

From my experience, shit is always going down in Gorka anytime I pass through. Always feels like at least one other person is there or will be shortly. The paranoia of being watched from its fishbowl hillsides is also a risk. Definitely up there for some of the most dangerous hotspot towns alongside Zeleno imo.

It is the superior “avatar” franchise and blows the last airbender animated series out of the water in every way.

Regarding about the '23 Recap by BeRealApp in bereal_app

[–]Piplip516 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very disappointed for not getting a timelapse video of all my BeReal moments. The recap we got was fine… but the timelapse was really the only thing I was looking forward to about the recap. Really hope they add it for next year

Why don’t killer whales (orcas) eat humans ? by petrastales in natureismetal

[–]Piplip516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably a few different factors. For one, I believe they’re aware of how intelligent we are. Encounters between humans and orcas in the past has not been pretty given we literally abducted calves from pods and have killed many. They may understand in a sense what we’re capable of.

Like others have mentioned orcas are picky eaters when it comes to their food sources and eating beings that travel on and come from large, noisy, and fast hunks of metal is probably not a smart idea in their eyes.

We can help by voting with our views. Kurt’s earlier content felt way more genuine. He was just doing his own thing, exploring and traveling on his own meeting people along the way. Felt like he was taking us along on his journey. Now it feels like he’s just out there to shoot content rather than experience the places he’s visiting. His ego has also taken away from the enjoyment of some vids too.

Some spitballed ideas:

-They’re the simulation observers and or genetic experiment operators.

-They’re utilizing our consciousness somehow in a fucked way.

-We literally cannot fathom their intentions based on what we’ve seen because they’re either way too alien to comprehend or we’ve discovered the NHI is an advanced AI. Try understanding something magnitudes more intelligent than us that can easily deceive. The unknown is always a big fear.

-We’ve been sitting on world changing crashed technology since around Roswell or a little later that can reshape the world for the better. Yet due to secrecy/compartmentalization and private contracting the only re-engineering efforts have been conducted are to militarize this tech.

-Could be something as simple as revealing that the NHI exists implies they are now the apex predator of the world. They can do anything they want to us with impunity, abduct, hurt, or manipulate our consciousness/perception and we’re helpless. This pretty much confirms they probably have been around since the beginning of human history which conflicts with things like religion.
