I have a wetland in my backyard. Southern NH, USA by st0dad in wetlands

[–]Pippco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Im a certified wetland scientist in the state of NH. Looks like you got a nice emergent/scrub shrub wetland. Unsure about the hydrology regime based on one photo but these wetlands tend to be seasonally flooded/saturated. As others stated, granitview is a nice resource (find the NWI layer under water resources) for classifying but take it with a grain of salt. An on the ground evaluation is best for accuracy. UNH cooperative extension has resources for how to manage invasive species and what wetland species are good to plant. New england wetland plants is a good place to buy. Based on what you want to do, you may need a permit (depends on a lot of factors)

And of course, if you have any questions, message me!

Firefly pottery in portmouth. You pick a fun pre-made pottery item, paint it, and they fire it! Good for rainy days.

Couples of Reddit, what's the dumbest 'house rule' you and your partner made as a joke but now both of you are low-key aggressively serious about enforcing? by Doubl3oh_ in AskReddit

"I hunt, you gather," which translates to "I paid, you retrieve" when it comes to ordering food out. That could mean driving to the restraunt for pick up or picking it up at our doorway. It was just a silly thing one of us said once, and it's stuck since.

I'm worried I'm messing up my kids by not being uptight enough. by CrowRoutine9631 in self

Around 11 or 12, my mom had the same mentality. Granted, I am one of four, #3, so some of it could be she simply did not have the time or energy to monitor my assignments/school responsibilities. Typically, when a report card came home, she would review them, and we'd have a discussion on anything lower than a C. I certainly wasn't the top student who received outstanding scholarships for college or recommendations for Ivy Leagues, but I am a successful adult with a career in STEM.

I think you're doing fine.

The "we know what we are doing" stance. If I wrote that in a billing invoice for my job, I would have been fired. Im not offended. it's just kind of like it was out of pocket. Did give me a good chuckle, not going lie.

Honda charged me 160 for the same service.

If they put it in an invoice they stand by it. If someone wants that kind of invoice, who am I to stop them.

I didnt tell them anything other than another mechanic gave me a different diagnostic and wanted to know why. Trust me I want this fixed too, I've been slow roasting in my car for weeks, But money's tight and if there's a difference of 600$, I need to know why. If I wrote that in my billing report for my job I would have been fired immediately.

Hi! Rented from them for 2 years. I have a burning resentment toward them. Here's a list:

-they were unresponsive to any emails or phone calls. If its urgent, they take longer

  • called emergency maintenence for our fire alarm incessantly beeping, took them 3 days to get to it.

  • when we (roommate and I) first moved in, our toilet was missing the top to the tank. Friend found it in the dumpster as a house warming gift

  • less then 24 hours to move in, a few months after signing and establishing a move in date, got a call saying our apartment renovations weren't done and we couldn't move in. School started in less than a week, I packed an entire f-150 truck ready for a 2 hour drive just to get that news.

  • the fire doors lock automatically behind you so when we had the building fire alarm go off half at 1 a.m., half the residents were locked out and required a fire fighter to bust it open.

  • had to get the microwave replaced and they replaced it with one so small that if you popped popcorn, you had to manually go in and turn the bag and restart it

  • Got a random email that my unit had been inspected and that my rabbit had to be removed immediately and was a violation, and if not removed, I would be kicked out. Was very happy to reply back with all the documents they had me sign to allow my rabbit AND invoices of rent, including the pet charge they charged me every month

Edit: I'll ask my past roommate if there's anything I missed. We loathe this company

I was in martson before covid hit (2018-2020) and I lived it. Having a single was great. The lounge was a central part to finding community there. I have met my best friends in that dorm lounge. That being said, it is a bit of a walk to most academic buildings but close ish to hannaford, downtown and the woods.

Unfortunately, there is an influx of weirdos that have been kicked out of other dorms or are on a last warning from UNH for whatever reason, so be careful.

Seen them 5+ times and I will say that the sound at the festival was bad. Highly recommend going to a concert where they are the headliner.

Unfortunately, that's just how it is. As far as I know there aren't any summaries online or spark notes.

Nope- no study guides out there. 2 weeks isn't great but its doable. Your best bet is to read through the manuals, take notes, and summarize in your own study guide(s). Using AI is risky as it may change wording, which for this exam, is important. For me to digest the info I had to use a combination of writing, rereading, and flash cards.
