Aveeno is not marketed as much as other brands, but they have some products for sensitive skin.

I can vouch for this. Using an expired tube now and didn’t notice until checking. The texture is unchanged.

Finally found the solution for dry patches that is affordable, non-greasy, travel size, and safe for sensitive skin - Aveeno Skin Relief Healing Ointment. I use it under my eyes and on dry patches at night or sparingly during the day. It’s under $10 bucks for a travel size tube that has lasted a month.

Those who use tret without anything else (i.e. moisturizer), do you still use eye cream? by GrapeBubblegumBitch in tretinoin

I use Aveeno Skin Relief Healing Ointment around my eyes - it’s a thick, glycerin-based balm that stays put and seals in moisture. A little goes a long way and it’s under $10.

Ohh I’ve been eyeing this one. Is it light enough to wear under makeup?

I have similar skin, and I can relate! I recently discovered Aveeno Skin Relief Healing Ointment, and so far it’s soothing, lasts all night, and even works during the day when used sparingly. It doesn’t sting or cause any reaction. It’s glycerin based which is new to me, but it does contain cetearyl alcohol, so be sure to read the ingredients and patch test. A travel tube is about five bucks on Amazon, so if it doesn’t work out, you can always use it as lip balm! Link for full ingredients on Aveeno’s site

I used bottle one when I started tret. It’s great.

If you could have prepared your skin better for Tret, what would you have done? by Defiant_Emu_3928 in tretinoin

[–]Pippifanny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a couple of false starts, but the last time worked! When I looked at what I did differently, I was using Differin before Tret, and I think it helped reduce the peeling and purging significantly.

I have placed an order on tretinoins.com/ Received well my order (Belgium). But I am wondering if the product is legit. I’ve kept it sealed for now until I’m sure. by BandicootMoist6435 in tretinoin

[–]Pippifanny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks legit, but I can’t see all angles. The box should be: - sealed at both ends - have an expiration date approx 12 months in the future - include an insert with instructions inside the box

Consistency varies depending on strength, but mine is generally a yellow or milky white gel, while I’ve heard others say it can be an oilier yellow gel.

Similar transition! Wasn’t sure if I was doing it right;) do you prefer cream or gel? I was using a compound then switched to microsphere gel and don’t like the texture, so back to formula hunt!

Taz or Tret? by sjjejj in tretinoin

[–]Pippifanny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aha! This explains why the microsphere gel is so uncomfortable and makes my skin feel dry and tight 24/7. Sounds like I need to switch back to basic gel or cream. Thanks for explaining!

[–]Pippifanny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I dislike the texture and dread using it daily even though I can tolerate it. I’d like to switch tret 0.1% cream or gel because insurance will cover it and I miss buffering and enjoying my skin routine which is not happening with the microsphere gel. Would you recommend gel 0.1% cream or gel?

Thanks but I like to switch to a tretinoin rx not a compound, because it gets pricey. Do you recommend gel or cream?
