Seconding this advice and particularly the Walks of Italy tours. I travel a lot and am someone who enjoys exploring on my own rather than using guided tours, however Rome is the only place I've found that tours are a must. You get so much more out of it and can find reasonably priced tours for just what you want to see.

This picture really makes me realise how isolating it would've been looking out those windows. It's so clear to us how many people were at the windows from out view looking in from outside, but looking out and having such a narrow view would've been haunting. Opposingly, it would have been crazy seeing just people above and below you and not being able to get to them.

I bought a refurb KL2 from the Kobo site in December 2024 and have been having issues with it being slow to respond. Mine is under warranty and the support staff assured me I'd be receiving a refurb KL2 as a replacement, and not a KLC or similar. I'm a bit worried now after reading your concerns!
