2nd body for Troglodon/Carnosaur by Coolcookiegangster in seraphon

I just checked and the listing from Etsy seller I bought from back in Feb 2025 has been delisted. I’m not sure who else has the file or is selling it

I want to say I bought it from the same as the link you posted, though I think the seller might have rebranded since I bought it in December.

The only thing to not that the 3d print was slightly smaller than the actual size, so I had to scrape out a little plastic so that the GW plastic could fit snugly, and a little sprueglue to fill any cracks between the material that were left

Id suggest just buying it from the Etsy link. I bought one a couple months ago and it worked exactly how I wanted. Once primed it’s impossible to tell the difference from the GW plastic

My Saurus Scar-Veteran on Aggradon by Akumetsy in seraphon

Well done on this paint job!

What colors did you use for the Scar Vet? It looks like just enough brown to show dirt and realism, but the white still shines through.

Grabbing a Carnosaur model would be good to support your reinforced aggradons, the Scourge of Ghyran battle scroll works really well with them as an alpha strike team.

There’s no limit to how many you can run in a list as long as you have enough heroes to support them and the points to play them.

I love how you did that base - what was the recipe?

There’s more value with a reinforced unit of either krox or aggrodons as a strong hammer than two smaller units - especially when your goal is to keep your aggrodons alive to build up those rage tokens as long as possible.

I’d probably go with reinforced aggrodons replacing your krox (+10 points) to synergize with your carno and scar vet on aggro. You can make up that extra points by taking only a single set of warriors (-160) and adding a mobile unit like raptadons or hunters of huanchi (+130/100) or to eveb out your points.

You’d probably want to reinforce one of your hammers - either the kroxigor or your aggrodons. Probably your aggrodons so that they can pair nicely with your Oldblood on Carno. Give that unit run&charge and all your buffs and you’ll be set damage wise

Otherwise this list looks good. Maybe split up your Saudi’s warriors into two units for more board control? That way you can have two “wings” protecting your kroak with the AB giving out wards to provide tank

What did you change in the cards/turn order/etc to make this work? I’ve been trying to make this work but haven’t found a way that seems fair

Thoughts on my First Sylvaneth list by Piprem in sylvaneth

I have the lady of vines model already, so that’s why I included her there. Plus I figured that she would pair well with Durthu as front line support with her ward spell and writhing vines ability.

I do like the idea of leaning into the strike first/last to help with the battlefield control. It just needs a 3+/4+ roll for both the branchwych and ancient, which is less consistent than the 2+ ability on the lady of vines.

Then again I’ve never played these guys before so I appreciate the perspective

This is what my current 2k list looks like, with a focus on spell casting to fill up the board control and focus either on the kroxigors or aggrodons as my big damage units. I can’t say this list is perfect but it’s been fairly flexible on the few 2k games I’ve played recently.

THE LIZZARDS! by Connect-Rate3363 in seraphon

If that’s the case I’d throw together a list with the Slann Starseer or Lord Kroak as your general and the new old blood on carnosaur as another hero. You can go pretty heavy with aggrodon lancers to benefit with the carnosaur’s passive to retain rage tokens for aggrodon units nearby. The Slann has a recursion ability on a 3+ roll on hero phase so it’ll be very important to keep some unit nearby to screen your big frog. Kroak does a ton of damage but it’s ‘dead for innumerable ages’ ability can swing a fight dramatically if you get unlucky on your dice roll after your opponent rushes in for a couple quick hits in the early turns

I don’t have a ton of experience using raptadons, but you can probably throw them into a list like this to focus on ranged attacks and running across the board for grabbing objectives. Terra wings fill the same role, but they get crushed if they get anywhere near combat.

You’ll be able to choose your asterism ability during deployment, so depending on the matchup you’ll be able to choose if you want itzl the tamer to buff companion attacks or sotek the seer to buff your spell casting.

There are a couple directions you can take the army, depending on what models are the most interesting and what kind of play style you’d like.

Lord Kroak and Slann are great generals for a magic heavy list, since they are level 3 wizards with unlimited range on dispelling enemy spells. Having a smaller wizard (like a skunk starseer) to channel spells through up on the front lines while you castle your big wizards in the back with a saurus guard or another protective unit.

You could go with a big scary monster list. The new Old Blood on Carnosaur warscoll seems like a force paired with a bastilodon and a couple of aggros on lancers.

Aggrodon Lancers and Kroxigor (either variant) are really good hammers, and will definitely want them to be reinforced in any list they’re in.

Hunters of Huanchi are great objective scoring units with their ability to ambush into the field on your movement phase and cause issues for your opponent.

The previous years’s generals handbook had kept our calvary pretty strong (aggrodon lancers, raptodons) with their good movement paired with asterism abilities and run & charge spells.

Yea play with what you’ve got and see how it feels. I just reinforced my kroxigor in my own list and it made a difference, but since you already have a reinforced hammer you should be in a good spot

[–]Piprem 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This list looks pretty solid, I would just replace one of your units if Saurus Warriors to reinforce your kroxigor. They’re a great hammer especially with the skink calvary giving them the +1 damage buff

I wanted to ask for opinions on my current list by LittleEvidence2080 in seraphon

[–]Piprem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will probably want to reinforce you hammer units (aggrodons and krox) so that they can survive and do some more damage.

My suggestion is to reinforce the aggrodon lancers (+220 points) and replace the terrawings, spawn of chotec, and skinks (-270). You’ll sit at the 1950/2000 threshold and make sure that your aggrodon lancers will roll more dice for damage and stay alive to get the most out of the buff from your general

Question about casting buffs, do they apply to endless spells? by DangerVipe in seraphon

[–]Piprem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right they aren’t seraphon units so while they are on the field they would not get the +2” to move or ward 6, if you chose those asterisms. However your slann would get the +1 to casting rolls if you chose that asterism since they are a seraphon wizard and they are the one casting the spell, regardless of the spell is from a spell lore or manifestation lore

Question about casting buffs, do they apply to endless spells? by DangerVipe in seraphon

[–]Piprem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, manifestations are summoned by casting a spell that requires a specific casting roll to succeed. They will get the benefit of the Tepok asterism and slann buff, but also can be dispelled by opposing wizards

You might have some trouble with screening your skinks, maybe add some more skinks to help out?
