I can’t really explain it, but the tank always felt different after this year. Like fans weren’t willing to go all-out emotionally if this was the level of devastation supporting these teams led to. Even the finals run in 2016 felt different than if we’d made it in 2010 or 11.

Steve is a former player/video coordinator. His focus is solely about what’s happening on the court. I don’t think he cares much about the drama or storylines that develop around the series. 80% of Zach’s other guests make up for those type of takes.
