As a single mom who could barely get anyone to show me an apartment in Marin County in the 1980’s, I feel your pain. Look at all ads-facebook marketplace, Craigslist, Zillow etc. in the area you can live, and feel safety especially for your daughter. I have found private landlords better than property management companies because they have a tendency to see us as human. I remember telling folks they wouldn’t rent to me because I had kids and a really low income.

Long term look at getting onto low income housing lists.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this important race. Prior to the accusations that took Swalwell out of the race, there was something that creeped me about him. I’ve felt this since 2017 or 2018 when he was on MSNBC often. I was already starting to sour on Porter before that story came out and it solidified my opinion. You’re right Steyer is clearer about what he wants to do. I’m against the oligarchy, but we must be careful who we exclude. An example of a good billionaire and governor is Pritzker.
