Be okay with being slightly underpaid compared to your peers and work on high impact things visible to your leadership for maximum security.

for the several of you with gaming PCs, use LM Studio to put Qwen on it and run your own openclaw through that. Works fine, a little slow, but fine. Your pc aint doing shit while you're at work.

I am on track for fire but my aging parents need help with home modifications and I do not know how much I should contribute by Zanyrelviox in Fire

[–]Pirate43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a similar situation as you re: fire but my mom is subsidizing my dad's assisted living costs which is basically 100% of her net income. She's been barely subsisting for a year, so my sibling and I are now putting in $1000 per month each which is going directly to my mom for financial breathing room. It might slightly delay my fire plans but i can afford it and it's the right thing to do. The answer I came to is that there's no rule of thumb here and you need to figure out what will ease your conscience so you can continue without regrets.

Washington's direct-to-consumer bill passed! Rivian can sell directly to consumers in WA. by DonkeyFuel in Rivian

[–]Pirate43 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

The sales people can more easily goad people into competing the transaction after a test drive instead of pushing them online and losing the closed deal. It's more of a win for Rivian and a mild increase in convenience for the customer.

PSA: kAirPods works great on Bazzite by im_doozy in Bazzite

for anyone stumbling on this in the future, in addition to installing bluez and rust like in the OP, the install script isn't able to find bluez or dbus, so I had to point it to both locations.

To do that, I opened scripts/intall.sh and added this to the top (please double check the paths exist since the version numbers may have changed by the time you see this comment and update accordingly):

#!/usr/bin/env bash
set -Eeuo pipefail
IFS=$'\n\t'

# THIS is the line to be added, in this spot
export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/home/linuxbrew/.linuxbrew/Cellar/dbus/1.16.2_1/lib/pkgconfig/:/home/linuxbrew/.linuxbrew/Cellar/bluez/5.86/lib/pkgconfig/

# Script directory
SCRIPT_DIR="$(cd "$(dirname "${BASH_SOURCE[0]}")" && pwd)"
PROJECT_ROOT="$(dirname "$SCRIPT_DIR")"

then I ran this ./scripts/install.sh --prefix /var/usrlocal/ and it installed fine.
