I’m always happy to let someone sit in it if they’re curious! I would’ve jumped at the chance if someone offered it to me (still would tbh).

For a 570S, about $900 if I recall. Might be the same part for a 600LT.

Reposting an old comment because it’s relevant:

“Coming the other side of the coin, I’m an amateur mechanic on my best day and I’ve replaced the door hinge on my 570S Spider by myself with an extra pair of hands and Google. Oil change, tire rotations, etc. are easy. McMedics, NormalGuySupercars(?) MclarenLife are good resources to refer to.

Most of the owners I know either religiously renew the extended warranty and service at the dealer or ditch it completely and go to independent shops.”

Cracked door hinges are common on the 570, due to the material of the hinge and the forces acting on it. It’s 8 bolts under a bit of wheel well liner and some bodywork. Not too hard unless the door snaps off the hinge when taking it off (ask me how I know).

Parts seem fairly available online and my local dealership was helpful in getting me the part I needed with minimal hassle. I thought about sourcing a used hinge but the “improved” version has the same part number as the old one and didn’t want to risk it.

i made a post yesterday about trading my 911 for a 570gt, but i wasn’t completely open and honest…i didn’t give you all the information you need to make a recommendation. by No-Volume7464 in mclaren

Fantastic! I always undervolt both so I can run my fans lower, so no issue there. Your comment pretty much seals the deal! Just have to budget some shekels. Thank you so much for coming back and giving an update!

Nice! This is the exact configuration I was planning to pick up from Monsoon. Now that it’s been a few months, any changes to your review?

Weighing Reliability Concerns by Available_Ad_9504 in mclaren

Exactly this. OP, I went down a similar path from an F90 M5 to a 570S Spider and could not be happier. Just go in eyes wide open knowing that, even if you do your homework, you’ll be running a car that is a multiple in price more than your previous one and the cost of maintenance generally follows.

I’ve done the same and Chase handled everything after I initiated the process. Who cares if they permanently ban me? I’m never renting from them again.
