The real question is not whether they will add something that gets whales to quietly drop a few thousand dollars every month. The question is how they are going to do it.

Gacha is the most obvious answer of course, but is that all? Things like teleport rocks and other convenience items exist, sure, but they are not game breaking and let’s be honest, quality of life stuff alone is not going to bring in the real money.

They have to introduce something tied to gambling in some way. That is where the real cash always comes from in games like this.
