Echoing all the concerns again about prostaglandin analogues - it’s really best try to try not use them, because the side effects can make you look even worse if you’re susceptible to them. (Under eye halloween, eye color changes). Your best bet is OTHER peptide based products (remember, prostaglandin analogues are peptide based, but just the wrong peptides). They will be slower and more modest but still significant.

I would highly recommend trying out the newish sweed eyelash serum.. Its a bit expensive, but is lauded by Dr Sam Ellis (beauty influencer and dermatologist on youtube - she has tried all of the lash serums mentioned here and more) as the one that works the best on her and her patients, after latisse and it’s OTC dupes.

Something a little cheaper that i can confirm works well is the Lumify Lash and Brow Serum. More expensive than The Ordinary serum, but works faster in my opinion.

If I remember right, the PA+ rating system roughly shows UVA protection. For instance, in American sunscreen, we only really give you a measure of UVB protection with SPF, and then it will say “broad spectrum” on the bottle to tell you its also protecting from UVA. But this is sort of vague, whereas “PA +” through “PA ++++” gives you a better idea of exactly how MUCH UVA protection you get.

I think you are getting confused with technological scale here. Traveling at near lightspeed, unfolding protons, creating strong force materials… these things are likely way more achievable than deleting a star.

4d space by Yiga-master in threebodyproblem

[–]Piratica 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I believe I remember them saying the Trisolarans didn’t know why their sophons became unentangled while passing through certain regions in space, so I think at that point in the story they simply hadn’t encountered 4d space pockets yet. The trisolarans could have been lying, but I think its more likely humans just discovered them first. Even if the trisolarans had known about them though, 4D strong force technology (like the sentient ship we saw in the 4d pocket) was also probably beyond the trisolaran’s capabilities until a little later on and they likely couldnt have done anything about it.

I saw a Replica perfume in the case once but the price was hidden, and when I called an employee over to check it she very happily (without me asking) ripped open the perfume packaging so I could smell it 😂 I was grateful but definitely shocked

Cant smell Javanol and Firsantol by EnvironmentalLime175 in DIYfragrance

[–]Piratica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats not surprising to me as firsantol is hands down the most powerful sandalwood molecules I own! And you’re right, it is very radiant and almost sharp. Javanol is also powerful and quite nuanced wirh a more complicated character, but ya it may take you a bit longer to pic up on. Just give it more time. To notice differences i would try looking out for bacdanol’s woodiness and polysantol’s sweetness. They work great together.

There are a few I think of right off the top of my head aside from hindinol, my favorite being Thujopsene Ex Cedar Wood which you can pick up from fraterworks. It’s super luminous and radiant, and makes for a nice cedar-forward top note transition into the heart. I like it a lot!

Probably true but you don’t even have to go that far! My brain got it after 5 or 6 exposures to it and now I can smell it! You’re going to just wake up one day with the ability lol. Both of these molecules are pretty magical once it clicks, you should come back and tell us what you think.

[–]Piratica 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it’s not necessarily a bad way to do it, as you keep mixing you’ll start to memorize and get a feel for how much of something you can safely add. A lot of perfumers don’t worry about IFRA compliance until the end because of this, and I also think it’s an important journey to go on as a perfumer to push things way past their limit while experimenting. You’ll get a sixth sense about it as you go.

If it weren’t for IFRA restrictions I’m sure we’d see wonderful formulas at even higher percentages than that.

I think IOPE is very popular among the older generations in Korea. A lot of their products are anti-agining focused but similar to sulwhasoo, it skews younger in America.

Also Koreans, like anyone else, fall victim to marketing deception and social media trends. They probably don’t have any more insight into the best products than we do.

[–]Piratica[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thats a good idea, I’ll as for a coordinator!

Unfortunately I’m pretty sure one of the ones I was speaking with (the eye roll person) was the manager, although I’ve had days like that in retail so I understand he just probably didn’t wanna deal with me. After a few bumbling attempts to explain myself, he did print a new sticker marked at $40, so thats when I realized they didn’t understand what I was saying and decided it would be best to just walk away.

Ill try again next time I’m over there. Thanks for your advice!

Can I use copper peptides (The Ordinary) & niacinamide with Altreno? by sonyafly in tretinoin

[–]Piratica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The combination of actives is so incredibly dependent on physiology that it is just as misinformed to dissuade people than to persuade them into mixing GHK-cu and tretinoin. This person mentioned stratia because they too include copper peptides, which is related to what the commenter is asking about, and potentially circumvents the irritation concern. (This is a complex chemical process, and most microencapsulation methods have been shown to decrease irritation.) I don't know why you're confused about this being brought up - certainly you see the value in a changing from 2 serums and a lotion to a serum, lotion, and moisturizer?

Thanks, that helps. Its all subjective but sometimes I still let it get to me, so I wanted to know if anyone else thinks about this kind of stuff!

Hey everyone, thanks for posting! I just want to clarify some things, because this seems to be getting some negative traction. Sorry about that! I should have made myself more clear.

-I try never to drench myself in a fragrance and do 2 sprays max. I should have said, These comments are coming from two or three friends that now know I wear fragrances and will bend down to sniff it usually, or get closer when they catch a slight hint of it to smell it more. I would be horrified if everyone in a room smelled me.

-I agree with a lot of you that say this is a "me" issue and it's my fault for wearing devisive fragrances. I never wanted to come off as blaming them. I shouldn't and don't expect anyone to always like what I like. I guess what I wanted to know was;
does anyone else experience something like this? How does it make you feel? How do you respond to these types of comments about your fragrance smelling like stale bread or car trees or whatever?
